Description
One who has mastered control over the air around them with martial skill
-----
Hailing from the mountains surrounding Tempest Peak, Uysal is a long-lived practitioner of the art of air manipulation, watching the events of the world below as a cautious observer. After centuries of meditation and fine tuning his arts, he is finally stirred to action as the abyss begins to ravage the land of Aether and other forces that had once been sealed away begin to remerge. Wilding his mastery over the air around him, Uysal descends from his sky bound home to join the fight against the dark forces lurking within Aether, ever praying that fate will be by his side.

A mystic who has learned to precisely manipulate air pressure and wind currents, Uysal is a powerful rushdown character who is adept at getting in and forcing offensive engagements. They sport a solid set of close range normals and great mobility, which is only bolstered by proper use of their special moves. They also sport a crazy advantage state, packing several strong close quarters tools which string into each other effectively and are great at pushing their advantage further and further until blasting the opponent away like a turbulent storm. However, they are incredibly light and their normals are quite stubby, sporting minimal ways to threaten someone at a long distance. They must put themselves at risk in order to get anything done. However, if you play evasive and look for openings to push your advantage, Uysal can be an absolute terror in the right hands.

Gimmick: Pressurized Mark
By landing any moves that involve the use of beads (Ftilt, Dstrong, Tap Fspecial, and Held Fspecial), Uysal can apply a Pressurized Mark to the opponent. While the opponent is marked, they take an additional 1% from all attacks and landing certain powerful attacks (Fstrong, Ustrong, Fair sweetspot, Held Fspecial sweetspot, Dspecial) will cause the mark to detonate into a rapid barrage of buffeting wind bursts before blasting them away with similar strength to the move you happened to trigger the detonation with. The Pressurized Mark lasts for 6 seconds and gets reset whenever Uysal lands another Mark applying move, though the opponent hitting Uysal does cause the Mark to last less time.
Special Moves
Nspecial– Turbulent Point
Uysal swipes in front of them, creating a point of concentrated air pressure in front of them which they can use to their advantage various ways. The point lasts for a few seconds before dissipating on its own or until Uysal or their opponent interacts with it in certain ways. You are only allowed to have one Turbulent Point on the field at a time and cannot summon another one until 1 second after the currently active Point has been destroyed (or 2 seconds if the opponent destroys it). Any active Turbulent Points can be manipulated in the following ways:

-Knocking opponents into the Turbulent Point causes a cyclone to form at its location, pulling opponents in before spitting them back towards your current location, allowing for ping pong combos. Do note that the Nspecial cast itself has a hitbox which automatically combos into this launching hit, making it a very powerful close ranged combo starter if you can get in range for it.
-Pressing air dodge while in the vicinity of the point will cause them to center themselves within the vortex and perform an air dash in one of 8 directions, granting them strong burst movement whilst dealing damage to anyone they contact. You are also able to cancel the air dash action into any Tilt/Aerial or a Jump at any point during the motion, even the wind up period, allowing for a myriad of aggressive or tricky offensive plays. As a consequence however, you do consume your air dodge to perform this, limiting you to only doing it once per air time.
-Performing special moves into the point’s location buffs the effectiveness of each special move in various ways.
Far Fspecial– Flowing Bead
Uysal manipulates the wind around a prayer bead and launches it off as a fast traveling projectile, inflicting a Pressurized Mark on hit. Functionally reminiscent to Ranno’s uncharged Nspecial, this is a weak but extremely fast projectile that is good at pestering opponents at range and tacking on damage and applying a Pressurized Mark status in neutral or in tech chase scenarios.
If the projectile hits an active Turbulent Point, it gets pulled into the center and then launched off towards the opponent’s location after a slight delay, allowing you to hit opponents from tricky angles while keeping on the move.
Close Fspecial– Storm Front
Uysal manipulates the air pressure around his hands before blasting of a huge burst of air in front of him to blast opponents away from him, inflicting a Pressurized Mark on hit. An alternative option to the Far Fspecial you get when performing the move up close, Close Fspecial is a long ranged, disjointed poke that packs a serious punch behind it, acting similar to Lucario’s Fspecial. Just like the aforementioned move, held Fspecial sports a short ranged grab hitbox which keeps opponents in place for the powerful sweetspot hit of the move, making it powerful finishing move if you can set up into it. Doing this on a Marked opponent causes the mark to detonate, making it an even stronger kill option.
Uspecial– Serene Cyclone
Uysal meditates while a tornado forms around them, carrying them around wherever they see fit during their quiet introspection before entering into pratfall. Functionally similar to stuff like Wrastor Nspecial, Meta Knight Nspecial, or Kirby’s Tornado copy ability, Uspecial is a steerable recovery move which gains more height while you are holding the special button down and sports a hitbox around him that is useful for carrying opponents off the top of the screen as a finisher. Pressing Parry during the move’s active time will cause Uysal to cancel out of the move early, allowing him to bail if the situation doesn’t feel great for him when he commits to it.
If you move into an active Tubulent point, Uysal outstretches their arms while creating a larger cyclone around them, increasing the hitbox size and giving him a boost to his vertical height, allowing you to double the recovery distance and damage on the attack and making it an even more effective finisher move if set up properly.
Dspecial– Resonant Mirage
Uysal leaps forward while phasing into the mist while creating a small cyclone beneath him, resurfacing shortly afterwards. If they make contact with the opponent or a Turbulent Point, a slash of wind appears on them while Uysal phases straight past them, launching the opponent for a combo extension. A command leap move that is useful for ranged punishes and combo extensions. You can determine where Uysal will reappear from by holding the special button or holding left or right during the dash through motion (Not holding the special button causes them to reappear downwards while holding the special button causes them to reappear upwards). Hitting an opponent with a Pressurized Mark applied to them causes the Mark to detonate and stun opponents for a bit, allowing you to combo into basically whatever you want. The world’s your oyster here.
If you dash through a Turbulent Point, you will perform the dash through while causing the point to detonate in a large explosion, packing quite a punch while allowing you to further mix up your movement from it.
