Long-Range Pack Hunter:
Backstory:
With the Royal Air Guard ministry considering an offensive bombing force, the need for a long-range strike fighter and escort came up. To meet that need, Tasman Engineering created the F-46 “Tasmanian Wolf”.

With large fuel tanks and drop tank compatibility, it had the range needed to fly alongside bombers as they entered Ihzairi airspace, using their 8x 12.86mm guns as fighter deterrent. The airframe became popular within the airforce and stayed in service even after the war as the F-46K.

Nice to know.

I get the realism, as it is made for an entire project with lore. But there's also a simple fix for that

My friend and I made an attachable x2 20mm gunpods for the wing side points, I suggest releasing something similar if you have time ofc :)

As for the stabilisation, don't worry about it, I will still most likely enjoy the plane seeing that your builds are of a high quality. (Plus I don't fly jets that often :D)

Keep up the hard work :steamhappy:

Glad you're enjoying the plane!

The machine guns definitely were more for a realistic loadout. The only issue with the autocannons is how big the drums are with their comically low ammo counts. And besides, I can't remember .50cal MGs being used against heavily armored targets--that's the bomb's job (only issue is: it doesn't carry a lot lol).

I am planning on remaking it. I remade my Seguigo, I just haven't uploaded it yet. And fair warning: my stabilization begins to slack once I begin making jets, but I have a new jet gyro that puts my WWII plane magic back into my aircraft, expect to see it on my upcoming Gloster Meteor.

Already commented on A-23. I love your work which is of high quality, but enough about that, and more about this plane!

Good things:

Plane is very stablised, making it a great choose for dogfights (I realised a lot of your aicrafts have a proper stabilisation)

Easily mounted equipment (Bombs, rockets, drop tank) making it a highly customisable aircraft

Bad things:

It's 8 machineguns may spread chaos amongst lightly armoured aircraft and vehicles but they are usually outmatched by other aircraft holding autocannons (20mm)

I can easily give it an 8/10 rating and I highly suggest this plane to my friends due to its reliability and high quality.

But I wouldn't mind a 20mm version :spiffo:

Total gross weight has been added!
Thales 13 Mar, 2023 @ 4:01pm
I think so.
MrMereScratch  [author] 13 Mar, 2023 @ 3:58pm
Alright, thanks! I'll get to work on that. What would the armament be the heaviest available preset set?
Thales 13 Mar, 2023 @ 3:49pm
Firstly get fuel amount as liter. If it is custom tank divide it by 5, if it is prefab tank divide it by 10 to find fuel mass.

@Thales,
Thank you! An honor coming from you!
How can I find the mass of the fuel?
Thales 13 Mar, 2023 @ 9:33am
I suggest adding gross weight to the specs which includes fuel and weapons installed.

It has decent performance on speed and range, also detailed and informative cockpit. Very well made, thanks for sharing
