Description
FOR VERSION 1.3!
My second and improved take on the iconic Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress.

It's an approximation, not a 1:1 replica.

This "fake" Memphis Belle is a G-version with the short, round Cheyenne tail turret, and not the actual F version that Mephis Belle was. The F version has two machine guns poking through the nose cupola and that just doesn't translate well into the game. It also had the longer tail but let's call this the what-if G version Memphis Belle.
It has a crew of 10 and is armed with 13 .50 calibre M2 Browning machine guns in 9 positions.
It also carries 16 x 500 lb bombs (for a short range mission).
Take-off speed is quite high at about 180 kph.
It's a little nose heavy under 300 kph with the payload, so be careful after take-off.

Seats in order are:
1. pilot
2. co-pilot
3. bombardier/chin turret gunner
4. navigator/nose gunner x 2
5. dorsal turret gunner
6. radio operator/dorsal upwards gunner
7. ball turret gunner
8. starboard waist gunner
9. port waist gunner
10. tail turret gunner.

Thanks for over 1,000 subs boys and girls. :)

I've built and tested it (and it takes off ok-ish most of the time) on my rig which gives me 144 fps so if your fps is other than the game physics will work differentrly for you.
This in combination with the game's long-standing issue with planes that when they have only two wheels on the ground it makes them veer off for some reason, a reason it seems even Fluppi himself doesn't understand, so there's little I can do about it I'm afraid.
My only advise is to give full pitch up once you reach 70-80 kph and keep the rear wheel on the ground and parry with A and D until you take off. This is the only thing I've found that helps with the planes behaving like this.
I'm sorry but there's not much else I can do since the issue is with the in-game physics. :/

everytime i want to take of the runway the plane keeps on going left instead of forward

i think fluppi fixed the bomb exploding exploding when you release them i checked your b 17 and it can drop bombs just fine

The "flopping like a fish on land" issue seems to have been caused by the forward struts on the landing gear causing clipping issues. I've made it fold into the main gear instead of forward and it seems to have fixed the issue in the testing I've done, but please report if the issue still occurrs so I can remove them completely if need be.

Haha I am Swedish but the Vasa is a bit of an undertaking and not one I'm feeling like taking on TBH. It would be very cool if someone built it in the game but it's not going to be me I'm afraid. :)

Ur Swedish right? Maybe make an old warship from the 1600s from Sweden? I know how you're taking a break for planes, so thats probably a good suggestion.

As I've stated in other places I spent over 2,000 hours building and re-building and tweaking and re-tweaking planes in BR last year and I'm a bit burned out now, especially since aerodynamics in the game has got progressivley worse with each update and Fluppi seems happy with the current state of it which IMO is the worst yet, at least for planes like mine. This and other annoying crap in the game (like a totally crappy MP experience, a Workshop that barely seems to work anymore, bombs exploding in internal bamb bays, slow prop planes barely able to take off and defintely not able to go straight on the ground (STILL!!!!) etc etc) combined with real life crap makes me feel very little motivation to spend time building planes that barely work in the current aero that the creator just doesn't seem to care about fixing.
I might return to building planes someday but not right now.

As I write below I'm currently taking a break from building planes in BR for several reasons but I can put them on my list. No telling when or even if I'll get to them though, it might be faster if you start building and build them yourself. 😉
