Description
Appalachian Civilization led by the leader of the Whiskey Rebellion, David Bradford. Capital city is Charleston, West Virginia. BNW Only.

Appalachia is a productive and well-rounded civ that thrives in practically any situation. It makes an excellent contender for cultural victories.


UA: Bluegrass Spirit- Each source of Iron, Coal and Copper in the empire provides +2 Culture and double quantity.


UU: Longrifleman- Replaces Musketman. Has a strong 1 tile Ranged attack along with a weaker Melee attack than the standard Musketmen. +2 movement in Hills.


UI: Moonshine Still- Available at Metal Casting. Must be built on a Hill. No two Moonshine Stills may be adjacent to one another. +1 Food when built next to Freshwater. +1 Gold and +1 Production. +2 Culture and +2 Gold upon discovery of Railroad.

Pretty cool! As somebody from the twin tiers (PA and NY) I am part of that fringe group of Yankees who identifies with Appalachia. Right up my alley, this.

Alright just did a double check. Should definitely be there, but try uninstalling and reinstalling. Also take note that the name changed from Appalachia to Octoski's Appalachia to fit with the naming theme of my other mods.

If you open the Civ V folder, then go to MODS, then go down to Appalachian Empire, the music is located in the XML file.
