Dear train people, I still apologise, I still don't know how trains work

Segier's railways were always... Lacking, to say the least. While the other countries had their strong industrial lines, or fancy passenger lines, Segier had little other than small trains being used to haul bits of material and people here and there. For a country as notoriously patriotic and nationalistic, being behind in any way wasn't something they could stand by, especially as the world became more and more reliant on trains.

The GSR Class Eta 6-6-4 was the result of this, a train designed to be bigger, faster, stronger, and most importantly, more glorious than anything else running on Segierian tracks at the time. While it would certainly seem like the train succeeded at this goal, the reality was much more bleak for this series of engines. It would be rushed to completion, as the Segierian Government had set strict deadlines for the project. On top of this, despite their generous funding, many corners would be cut, which would compound with the general lack of locomotive building experience of Segier.

It is said that, during the the public unveiling of the locomotive, one of the engineers tasked with desperately trying to keep the train from catastrophically breaking down in front of the crowds ended up suffering a fatal heart attack from the sheer pressure and stress. This was kept from the public of course, and as far as they knew it was a largely successful project, but it wouldn't take long for the true nature of the engine to become known.

Frequent breakdowns, minimal safety features, and expensive maintenance lead the formerly sought after locomotive to be abandoned for the smaller, simpler engines that it was designed to replace. Overall, it would succeed as a short-term propaganda tool, but its legacy was one of failure and disappointment.



It's very simple and will probably piss off train people because of this

-Start by opening up the firebox, mounted in the centre of the cabin. Then, press the button to ignite the firebox (This may take a while)

-Keep the firebox stoked until at least one of the boiler's temperatures reaches 110 (Dials located to the right of the firebox, it can run perfectly fine on one boiler, you'll just be lacking pulling power until it heats up)

-Once there is enough steam pressure (doesn't take a lot), release the brakes and increase the steam piston valve levers, located on the left of the cabin

-There are a bunch of regulators, so it shouldn't go above a pressure level of 8. If it does, there is a severe issue! Have fun!
