Mashuppa (updated)

Mashuppa is a very mountainous territory with however a lot of flat ground for your future city !!! Here you can build your town in 3 different biomes. The main area is lush green countryside with forests, lakes, fields and meadows. The second zone is a forest covered with snow, while the third is a semi-arid desert with sparse vegetation.

This is an updated version. The original version used a now deleted asset, namely the Fujian tulou, a Chinese circular construction. So I changed a few dirt roads. The original version is perfectly playable but I haven't been able to update it....For a few months now, I haven't been able to understand how updates are made. I have the impression that the update procedure has been modified....So I published this new version....

This map has:
354,848 trees. Important !!! Don't forget to activate the "Unlimited trees mod" (the limit of 250,000 trees is largely exceeded).

oil and ore reserves
magnificent castles
abandoned houses, old factories and lots of lighthouses.
a cursed forest watched over by a ruthless dragon.
a sacred tree planted in the middle of a circle of standing stones (illuminated at night).

This map demands a collection of custom mods & assets, and to get it to look similar to the screenshots. In general you only need the assets & mods listed to the right. This is the basic detail level of the map. If you want the full detailed experience then subscribe to all the assets in the collection.

SNOW = SAND: Use the “Theme Mixer 2” mod to get snow. To do this, we recommend that you choose the theme “Frostic Fall” to turn the yellow sand into white snow (unless of course you have an immoderate and uncompromising love for yellow sand).

Brightness at your convenience. Personally, I prefer to see clearly .... I use "Theme Mixer 2" to modify the daylight ... to do this other mods exist on the Workshop ... "Daylight Classic" for example.


About this map:

More than 100 hours of work have been devoted to this map. I started on April 20, 2021 using the topography from the “Mashup” map created by Sir Moc. This last one regroups elements of three other maps; Delta Ranged Enhanced + 7th Island Enhanced + Grimsoy.

However, all of the relief was reworked and, in the end, very little of the Mashup was preserved (about 1/6). This was not an easy job. I abandoned this project after 2 weeks of work. Nothing I did was visually satisfying ... So I spent my time on 2 other projects (Cigales then Flatopolis). After 2 months without playing Cities Skylines, I started working on this project again.

My first idea was to create a fantasy / science fiction map that brings together 12 different biomes (9 tiles per biomes). I did not give up on this idea but preferred to publish a less ambitious version first with only 3 biomes ...
