Hilvon's Hillcraft

Description
This mod will feature some recipes to craft some resources. Currently only one module is available. More will be added in future - each being a separate "mod" so you can enable only the aspects you want.

(V) Stones: Tired of getting a bunch of useless stones while foraging? Have a bung just sitting around your base? No problem! Use this mod to crush stones (and chipped stones) into fragments. Generally you will get gravel and sand you can put into sacks and use for decorations or barricades. But with some luch and the right recipe magazine you can get rock salt, lime - to make plaster or concrete, and even sulfur and niter, which can make things go boom if mixed right.

(V) Charcoal burning: Craft a small charcoal kiln using a metal container and some welding. Load it up with scrap wood and "cook" it over a fire. Get some charcoal out of it. Simple as.

(V) Craft canvas sacks from denim strips. Learn to waterproof denim strips to make improvised tarp.

( ) Seed oil: Does your farming produce more seeds than you know what to do with but you can't bring yourself to just trashing them? Fear not! Just use this handy magasine to rig up an oil press from some cookware. Load it up with seeds, heat them up and turn the handle to squeeze them really hard. Get some vegetable oil for your salad seasoning and caloric supplements. Leftover seed mush is edible too, but not going to make you happy though...

( ) Wild hemp: Find some fibrous stalks while foraging. Whack them into coarse fibers. Weave those fibers into sacks or ropes.

Have more ideas for small self-contained crafts? Share them in the comments.

Recent fix: Resolved model naming conflics that resulted in vanilla salt model showing huge

@colby124570 there is a mining mod that I recommend. You need Foraging 5 and a pickaxe. Foraging in deep forest biome can produce mining vein finds. Some of them are iron and when mined produce various amounts of unusable metal items that can then be smelted and repurposed.

Though at this moment this mod is 41 only, but I believe if nudged sufficiently it will get a 42 update too.

there should be way to get metal without looting buildings i should be able to make metal armor out in the wilderness without ever touching a "pre-apocalypse" building since b42 has furnaces this should be possible

@GG.Ida Bug traps? That sounds like a fun idea, but is unfortunatelly outside of my familiarity with how to add it to the game. Especially sisce it would involve the whole new system. Though having a large batch of insects into a thing of minced meat should be doable. And then minced meat is usable in recipes - including forming it into a patty and making a burger.

@SlenderXD The mod should be named something like "HillCraft_Stones" and might not match the workshop item name. Thank you for being interested

This mod sounds really cool man, keep up the good work!
I know this sounds kinda gross, but have you thought about adding bug traps in some form, and then being able to turn bugs from them and the ones you forage into "bug meat" which would have lower negative side effects to eating and could be used in place of other meats in cooking recipies?

@BrekUrSelf @Bored and Tired Gamer @CrispyChestnuts Thank you for your comments! Really appreciate your attention. I am slowly working on the next item on the list. But I am one dude with full time job so I unfortunately don't have as much time to pour into developing the mod as I would've liked.
