Indagator Non-Combat Vessel

Description
The Indagator is a exploration focused capital ship designed to be flown by 4 - 5 crew members, though it can be flown by a lone captain. A kitchenette, mess-hall, and bunkroom are the first places you'll come across entering the ship, just down from the stairs up to the bridge. Brightly lit with nice wooden flooring, it's the perfect place to relax before continuing your duties aboard. Further down is the miniature armoury, nought more than a locker or two for stowing personal firearms. Behind that is the medbay, outfitted with several cryo-chambers, bathroom utilities, and a medical station for patching up injuries and painting your suit alike.

The bridge at the front is protected with heavy armour, opposed to the rest of the vessel sporting light armour, in order to provide ample defences against head on projectiles.

It is mostly defenceless, save for three gatling turrets at the front of the bridge for point-defence against incoming missiles and small attack craft. Fighters can be launched from the rear deck of the ship in order to fend off hostiles.

Featuring powerful forward thrust and almost 30 gyroscopes, the Indagator is surprisingly mobile for a ship of its size, whilst unladen at least, allowing one swift acceleration to evade pirates.

Primary propulsion is reliant on hydrogen thrusters, though auxiliary Ion thrusters allow for propulsion if in a dire hydrogen-deficit. Given the vessel has a lack of atmospheric thrusters, and due to its sheer scale, it is incredibly ill-advised to take it into atmosphere, or a stronger gravity-well than 0.25g, as taking off again may prove incredibly difficult, if not impossible. It serves much better as a mobile base of operations, sitting in orbit and using the deck-mounted ships to deliver cargo and supplies to and from the surface of celestial bodies.

Featuring twelve large cargo containers (which allow for storage of more than 5,000,000 litres worth of supplies), several backup oxygen tanks, and two large hydrogen storage tanks, all provide ample space for extended journeys without resupplying, assuming you can somehow fill all of them of course!

Power comes in the form of two primary large reactors capable of outputting 600 MW of energy, more than enough to keep the ship fully functional for several years when idle, and almost 100 days at constant maximum forward thrust. Several hydrogen engines provide a paltry but reliable backup supply, enough to keep low power modules such as life support functional. One could theoretically use the engines on this power, though overloading is a concern.

Which a myriad of antennae, radar dishes, and scanners, as well as on-board science equipment, the Indagator is fully set for travelling far with its jump drive and exploring new horizons, not counting any small exploration vessel attached to the rear deck.

Numerous, conveniently-named cameras dotted throughout the vessel provide smaller crews with an easy way to verify damage reports or suspicious activity, including but not limited to; the rear deck, cargobay, and medbay.

Lastly, in addition to all its other aspects, the ship is also a mobile factory, boasting eight refineries (all with four yield modules), two assemblers (each with two speed modules), and four O2/H2 generators for all your production requirements, with space to add more assemblers or O2/H2 generators as needed.

All in all, The Indagator is well suited to function as a mobile base of operations, and has numerous opportunities for personal customisation. The rear deck can be adjusted in how many connectors it has for more or less/bigger or smaller craft.

I hope it serves you well in your travels among the stars!
