River Peaks is my 2nd map for Cities Skylines. I hope I am improving, but I’m having a really hard time with the mountains. I want to learn how to really do this, so I am practicing with you guys as my guinea pigs. 🙂

On this one I wanted to keep the roads & terrain pretty flat & easily accessible. The train lines are ‘kind of’ realistic, although I do think the mountain passes are a bit fantastical.

This map has a LOT of flat buildable land as well as access to ore, oil, forestry & farmland. There are, also, the maximum number of outside connections available.

I am, so far, going with a ‘keep it simple’ philosophy for my maps, mainly trying to make something that is pleasing to the eye & gives the player tons of building options.

This is just my 2nd map, I wasn’t planning on doing another one, but (as of this writing) there are almost 300 people who have downloaded my 1st map. It makes me feel good thinking about the cities that could be constructed on my maps & I hope people are enjoying them.

This map has several rivers, waterfalls, mountains, plenty of trees & flat buildable land. It is perfect for building a sprawling city & suburbs. A sprawling ‘megalopolis’ would be perfectly at home here.

Notes:
I didn't build the main intersection, I got it from the workshop. I am still working on my road building skills & mine are not quite good enough yet yet.
