Drilling Rod AISO Container

Description
S.O.D.S. Collection Including all our builds and projects

Well here it is. The first iteration of my drilling rod AISO container.

Intended to be tipped vertically for offload and reloading of empty trays.

Contains two versions, one with gaps between the rods and one without.

Will update it when I have the time to work more on the system. Let me know if you find any bugs.

Shout-out to the S.O.D.S folks for the suggestions and getting me to actually post it.

Cool! And, can't wait to see what comes of this, wether it's my ideas or not, it's guarenteed to be awesome! (:

Multiple drilled wells form a "tree" with all the pipes connected with hoses back to a central oil rig. And yes, distillation plant is planned and in the testing phase. Will see what efficiency is like if we go diesel burning or maybe jet turbine generator and go electric.

great! Not sure what you mean by "seafloor trees" though. WHat does that mean?

And, of course, the 1.0 is the rig, the 2.0 is the boat, the 3.0 can go underwater, and the 4.0 can also go on land!

also, do you plan on including a distilation system? If so, do you plan on making it self-powering (I.E. it can produce more diesel than it burns, as well as other fuels)

Just a thought!

That's the plan for this oil rig haha. If it works out I can see about getting it setup for an ROV. Would like to see some seafloor trees setup that all pump to one rig to increase throughput from a single oil node.

Great! Can't wait! (Of course, part of my idea was one that automatically uses it, (auto filling and unfilling from this container, and then auto-moving the container) but that would be obscenly comblex, come to think of it...)

I don't have any immediate plans for an ROV or sub. Might at some point once I finish the oil rig I'm working on, maybe even one for it. I believe some of the S.O.D.S. should be able to manipulate these underwater though. I'll look into seeing if there's an easy way to fold them in this form factor.

The creator of the SeaSniffer did some testing and unfortunately the crane is too short even for a half height version. I might do some testing to see if I can get something to work.

neat!

do you plan on something like a sub that can hold one (or more) of these, and drill oil using this dirrectly as almost an ammo container? (Perhaps it even has a place to store empty containers, and extra full ones. Maybe that version of the container collapses, to fit more empty ones in a tighter space?

Just an interesting thought imo

Is the container compatible with the SeaSniffer?
