Description
This mod replaces the Soundtrack and menu music with a the ones from Age of Empires + Rise of Rome as requested by Moonwalker*.

For the updated content changes, take a look at the change notes. :)

-------------------------------------

If you want to customize your soundtrack, as you might have done with textures, here you get how the soundtrack works:

The game uses the folder Game\sound\music.

There it searches for the file xmusic1.mp3

If a mp3 ends, and there is a file with actual number + 1 like xmusic2.mp3 after playing xmusic1.mp3, than that one will be played next.

If there is no further file, or there is a gap between the actual files number and the next one, like xmusic1, xmusic2 and xmusic4, than it restarts with the first file.

Until now I don't know if there is a max number of soundtrack files that are used.

-------------------------------------

All my soundtracks will contain every single title in a seperate mp3 file, so you can easily delete or change a specific one, or change their order.

-------------------------------------

These tracks are neither done by me nor do I own any rights on them. No copyright infringement intended.

Some of this sounds to me like AOE DE jazzed up in a good way with techno or super modern music vibes. I am not sure if it is just plain AOE DE music, which seems to be itself a techno modernized version of AOE ROR music though.
It is nice.

Not right now. I'm planing on implementing a function for partial mod usage into my mod manager though.

When subscribing to a mod, after downloading this mod directly overwrites your game files instead of keeping them seperate.

The only way to get the default one back now, is to verify your game cache.
After doing so, tracks 1-20 should be the default ones again.

To mix them both, do the following now:

1) Create a folder for your new soundtrack somewhere.
2) Copy the original soundtrack there (AoE\sound\music, files xmusic1.mp3 to xmusic20.mp3)
3) Go to AoE\mods, open this mods archive file (extensionless zip file) and copy the soundtrack files to the folder you created. You'll need some subfolder or have to rename the files while copying them.

4) You might have noticed both soundtracks use the same file names. This is for AoE needs specific names, it can't just play any file inside the AoE\sound\music folder. So to combine the two soundtracks using xmusic1-20, you have to rename them so you have one soundtrack using xmusic1-xmusic40. AoE will play them in this order, so choose wisely.^^
I might have used some empty mp3 files to get 20 (with less then 20 track files, there would have played the last default tracks after this mods tracks). You don't need them anymore when combining these two soundtracks.
5) Now copy your new soundtrack to AoE\sound music.
6) This setup will be broken every time you verify your game cache (needed to delete mods) for it's not based on a steam mod. There are only three ways to handle this:
1. Upload this as a new mod you can subscribe to.
2. Store your soundtrack and restore it after every verification.
3. Use my modmanager to create/organize it. You can restore it with just a click now.
