nZombies - Resident Evil 4 Village

Description
Just a conversion of the RE4 Village map (model I suppose) into a proper nZombies map, added in bonus of a map icon.

It was hellish to make the navmesh for this map, and many edits had to be made due to the collision mesh not working well for most of it, had to cut some corners or do some clever invisible block tricks to allow zombies/specials to spawn in properly.

It's a config, but feel free to use the navmesh for any other project or just for fun really, otherwise anything required for the config is in my collection, so have fun with that.

That's it for now, remember to subscribe to the original map file itself for this to even work and just cause it's a neat port really.

Have a good one!

I actually played it again recently and don't seem to have that texture issue. Now i have a different problem however, I want to edit the map with the tool gun but I spawn in with nothing even in creative, what gives? Did i do something wrong? Loadout mod maybe conflicting causing a no tool gun and phys gun existence bug?

It might be cause of a dynamic lighting mod or something but why is a lot of the floor texture on the dirt all black and not rendering properly for me? Any ideas?

found a temporary quick fix. just use the physgun and no-clip to bring the npcs back onto the map

Again, with how the collision works it will not fix that issue, you will just have to find some other way of spawning NPCs on the map, only thing this provides other than an nZombies config is just a proper navmesh.

Thing I recommend with that issue is using block props to set up areas where you want to spawn stuff at, like a giant plane block covering underneath the center of the village so you could spawn things on there no problem.

this may be a navmesh for the map, but npcs dont spawn in correctly. they go literally under the map instead of on it

Of course! Also honestly fair enough for porting it to the infmap base, would help solve some of the issues the map does have.

Other than the issues with the collision it was a good port despite the downside of having to do some wacky magic with the navmesh for them to walk into certain buildings.

the big issue is that the collision model uses a texture which for some reason isn't getting hit by the eyeTrace of players, meaning all props etc will spawn under it

thanks for making this, i might port the map to infmap base, as that at least adds proper collisions, it was a pain in the ass to make them using hammer

time to destroy source engine's ass with a big re4 remake map lmao

in all honesty to everyone, don't even bother asking for it
