Description
Manufacturer: [HDI] Hephaestus Defense Industries

Association: [ARDN] Artemis Republic Defense Navy

Series Line: Anulus

Ship Class: Tactical Insertion Craft

Registry #: 592

Ship Name: Undesignated

Designation: AS-TIC-592

Fielded in just about any theater where there is a need for troops, the TIC is a fundamental and versatile craft. Deployed as both a troop transport and in some cases to lay down suppressive fire in both urban and non urban environments, the TIC is both a welcome sight and a harbinger of doom depending on who sees it.

Designed for both atmospheric and space flight, the TIC is limited in its range of operation only by the fact that it doesn't possess a JDS.

Carrying a flight crew of 1 pilot and 2 onboard operations crew, a cryo pod for emergencies, and 10 seats in the rear hold, this craft is able to enter hostile zones, drop off a formidable force, and bug out with its robust vertical and forward thrust. pressurized interior keeps things cozy in space and cool in deserts. On board survival kit allows medics to assist in on the spot recovery efforts and provides a point of spawn in times of need. Large magnet on the back enables it to carry even heavy armored tanks both from space or on world.

The TIC is equipped with 2 fixed gatlins, 2 fixed auto cannons, 4 fixed missile pods, and finally 3 auto cannon turrets on the rear section. Although the ship is not heavily armored per say, it does have redundant subsystems allowing for continued operation even while under heavy fire.

The TIC is part of the Anulus Series and serves as a standard in the [ARDN] forces. There is a civilian version that is not armed and possess an open ended rear hold and no seats as it is used primarily for cargo transport. It should be noted that decommissioned TIC are not sent into civilian service and are instead given a 'Ceremonial Decommission' where they are dismantled and scrapped while their nameplate is saved and added to a repository, never to be used again as part of the service memorial. This is due to the extra ordinary risk these craft are regularly exposed to and their duty in shuttling soldiers.

To help make things simpler for users, the TIC features no mods, no subgrids, and no klangery.

Shout out to bolland83 for his fantastic work. He produced the D-77 that recently hit the front page and he was generous enough to allow me to borrow the general shape of the glass from his cockpit. His product is amazing. Please feel free to check out his work here:

Yes, someone pointed out that the parking ions on the vessel, used only in space...were apparently not strong enough to even notice their existence so I adjusted the design slightly by adding some downward hydro thrust on the rear section to ensure he will be able to land properly a little faster...cause patience and all lol.

update?

Besides, I have no subgrids on this to make it easier to build/use in survival.

It is heavily inspired but it does have differences. I generally try not to do recreations but occasionally keep closely to original reference material. I wanted a Pelican like dropcraft for my faction so I made it.

"primary inspiration" my brother in Klang, this is literally just a pelican.

Indeed. I should hope so. That was the primary inspiration for it. I like that one.

reminds me a lot of the pelican
