I'm not a fan of this mod because of how it's implemented, it runs a check every frame, which can be performance intensive, but that's the only way I could get it to work. This was purely experimental, and while I'm glad people enjoy it and I'll keep it up for that reason, but I'm not motivated to expand on it more.

With that being said, thats all with my understanding of how this works from b41. I haven't looked at these things in b42 yet, it might be possible to make a better implementation now. It's not my main focus atm, but I'll still take feedback if people have ideas for how they would like to be able to configure sprinters. I'd like to make sprinters more accessible to a wider audience, but I want to make sure they are still respected and difficult.

Nice mod, but what about adding individual options to adjust the sprinter slow down effect when jogging or walking? I would like the effect to be higher when walking, because by default the zeds sometimes can't catch you.

I would also like when the sprinter slow down effect is set to 0 when jogging, the effect will still slow you down when you are tired (the effect strength will be default, or unless you add options to modify it to your liking). You can counteract it if you have sprinting levels (you can determine what levels are required for the sprinter slow down to not take effect when you have certain levels of tiredness). The slow down effect set to 0 when jogging does not work if you have wounds that cause you to not be able to move fast (some wounds can be counteracted depending on the sprinting level).

@Le Fancy Quack done. This was an experimental mod, I never expect anyone to actually use any of my mods lol, I just posted it just in case anyone might have a use or if they want to see how it's done. I should have removed the log before publishing it though.

Could we have an option not to have the console logs spammed with Sprinter modification executing ? The console logs ended up being 100MB after like two hours. Thanks.

Yeah this is genuinely a great mod, it completely rebalances sprinters and makes it actually possible to escape them. The vanilla sprinter attack slowdown mechanic never made sense to me and is pretty unrealistic.

needed this thx:steamthumbsup:

Oh man, thanks for this. I was looking for a way to disable the sprinter slowdown. You definitely should have named it differently though. Very hard to find it.
