we are unable to paint, my child is crying how am i supposed to do this

I can't paint the eggs. I do the melted chocolate, mold them, freeze them, but no matter which way I try, I can't paint the eggs.

Thanks @MissMonica. You are right. I was trying to painting one half of the chocolate egg, and that's why it didn't work. It's been a year I hadn't played this mod, and I forgot about that.

@The Cutest Elemental~ I have the same problem as well. Last year, when the mod first came out, I had no problem at all. But few days ago, I was able to pull out "globes" of colours but unable to paint the eggs.

Seems liek paintign is broken...

I was having an issue in my run where we would get only the easter card every day on a turbo run. We kept choosing another food and would still get the card the next day. Im not sure if you could implement a setting under mod preferences to adjust the probability of getting the card?

Oh, and during one run, we had a Colorblind person. While he could see the letters above the small eggs, he couldn't make out which paint is which color, so he couldn't really help making the eggs. The Big Eggs also don't have the letters. Would it be possible to have a menu option to add letters to the Big Eggs and to the Paint?

The second run we DID get a Restaurant Type card. Not sure what happened the first run.

It's cool that you're looking to revisit the mod! I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for all your work!

Also, would it be possible to improve the details on the recipe cards slightly? There are two things that we initially struggled with, and it took use quite a bit to figure out how it worked. Whenever new people joined the kitchen, they also struggled with it, until we explained:

- For the Chocolate Eggs, it's unclear that you need to combine two halves into a full egg. It looks like you simply grab an egg from the tray, but when you try to color it, nothing happens. It took a while before we found out by chance that we needed to combine two egg halves into an egg before we could color them.

- For the Hot Cross Buns, it's unclear that you need to drop an entire stick of butter on it. Grabbing butter from the cabinet with a Hot Cross Bun in your hand doesn't work. It's also possible to portion the Butter, which is not what you want, either. (Though it would make sense to use a portion of butter rather than an entire butter stick).
