Description
This mod is an expansion of Dynamic Enemy Creation by Chris The Thin Mint. Much of the code is taken from his mod; I have added a new value which can be used to config stat and ability research, Advent Research.
Like Dynamic Enemy Creation, this mod has no impact on gameplay by itself, it simply adds capabilities that can be utilized by config changes.

The current ways Advent Research increases, all by configurable amounts include:
- The end of every month
- On specified result of specified mission family
- The amount and/or percentage of wounded and killed soldiers at the end of a mission
- If a mission is aborted
- When facilities generate any amount of doom
- Every X days since mod was installed/save started.
More ways to adjust Advent Research will likely come in the future.

I've also added the ability to configure stat and ability upgrades that apply to a set of units, rather than one at a time. This should reduce config bloat when adding the same upgrade to many units. The doom counter as a variable is now functional as well.



This mod replaces Dynamic Enemy Creation, and thus cannot be used at the same time as it. However, it also includes all functionality of Dynamic Enemy Creation, and should be compatible with any mod that requires it.

@Zigg Price this mod is an API. It is similar to the other but with added functionality. Basically this will help streamline making enemy unit packs. I'm going to try to use this to port over some enemis that haven't been ported yet, and add some new flavor to them with this.

My question to the author: Does this affect AI or do I have to manually edit the strings to use active abilities? Or is it retroactive like in other games?

So the mod does nothing, but replaces a mod that does do something.

So I'm confused. Do I have to go turn a bunch of configs on? So I have to research things I want this to do and then create the ini lines to do it? This sounds interesting and promising, but I'm not quite following the execution required.

Can you add examples of how to configure the new features and add upgrades to units by group?

The original mod that this was based off of does this:

- Give units stat and ability upgrades based on force level, alert level or the progress of the avatar project. Upgrades can have a chance to apply. This functionality relies on the 'EnemyResearchBonus' perk, which is automatically added to all units, including enemies from other mods. The ability to also patch loadouts and loot tables with these upgrades will be added in a future update.

So I would assume it does something like?
