Description
[WOTC] Drumax's Class Pack

Hi everyone! My aspiration for this class pack mod was to add a more diverse
and effective selection of new soldiers when creating squads for tactical gameplay.
By default, the mod disables the four vanilla classes and replaces them with 15
new dynamic soldier classes for XCOM 2 War of the Chosen.

Classes Overview

1. Ballistic Defenders are the first line of defense in holding ground or rushing in to objectives otherwise too dangerous for their squad. They use a pistol and a ballistic shield to distract the enemies while taking them out.

2. Bombarders are equipped with grenade launchers that can deploy explosive and support grenades at long distances which provides the squad flanking maneuvers and protection.

3. Corsairs are highly trained and aggressive sword fighters who prefer close range melee combat with the enemy. At higher ranks, they can train to become more efficient with ballistic weaponry as the enemies become more challenging.

4. CPU Experts utilize the Gremlin to hack the advent network & retrieve sensitive data. Along with hacking, stunning or controlling a robotic foe, their Gremlin is key to assisting allies & disrupting enemies.

5. Enchanters are gifted individuals that can naturally develop their psionic potential. With their Psi Amps, they can provide crowd control, squad support and offensive abilities.

6. Ghost Recons are masters of subterfuge and provide reconnaissance to allies in the field. They can spot and holo-target enemy troops, set off explosives without being revealed and perform low health kills that guarantees you stay concealed.

7. Gunfighters make use of dual single-handed pistols to engage enemies at close and medium range. They can become highly skilled in gunplay and special shots while surprising enemies with a barrage of bullets.

8. Juggernauts specialize in medium to close range engagements. With their shotgun and arcthrower, they can contravene enemy positions with an assortment of slug shots while also providing crowd control and electrical damage.

9. Ninjas are trained to execute single targets with their sword or throwing knife, be it up close or medium range. They use concealment to get up close to targets and flank them from the shadows.

10. Paramedics can deploy advanced medical care with the use of Medikits and select training. They also provide squad support and enemy distraction along with becoming a well proficient overwatch marksman.

11. Sappers are experts when it comes to certain heavy weaponry such as the rocket launcher and flamethrower. They can also equip a heavy cannon or rifle to provide critical support during firefights.

12. SAW Gunners are more durable than regular soldiers & provide heavy firepower wherever needed. With their heavy cannons, they can suppress enemy targets, provide support fire & use their combat knife on close-range enemies.

13. Sentries excel at outmaneuvering and delivering consistent damage to the enemy. With their assault rifle, claymore and grappling hook, they are a very destructive force in tactical combat.

14. Shootists are skilled sharpshooters adept at long range shooting and short to medium range pistol shooting. They can take out key targets from a distance using their many sniping talents while using their pistol to soften or clear up targets.

15. Vigilantes may only wield a pistol and sawed-off shotgun but don’t be fooled, they have a dedicated role in combat. They rely on skillful tactics to get up close while subduing their enemies at gunpoint.


**** The Enchanter is a Psionic class type who is designed to level up and learn their abilities
like a normal soldier so a PSI Lab unlock is not needed.

**** Each new class has 3 ability trees with at least 3 perks per level and a XCOM tree with
random abilities from all 4 perk packs.

**** There's an option to re-enable the 4 vanilla classes and their GTS Perks(Thanks shiremct) if desired: Open XComClassData.ini in the \Config folder with notepad++

**** What about 15 new GTS class perks? Regrettably, my modding skills and knowledge
is not at that level yet.

[Very important note] - Either Primary Secondaries OR True Primary Secondaries [BETA]
can be used as a required item for [WOTC] Dual Wielded Pistols 2.0 and WotC Ballistic Shields
so DO NOT subscribe to both. I've created and tested this mod using Primary Secondaries
and never had an issue with it but I know some players prefer True Primary Secondaries [BETA]
so I can not personally confirm how well TPS will run with this mod. I also highly recommend
using the community Alternative Mod Launcher[github.com] instead of the steam launcher.
AML will warn you about missing dependencies, but it can be safely ignored in each case.

@Greys Gambit It would probably just be an update to this mod if I ever learn and decide to build GTS unlocks for these classes.

Could you possibly make the Defender a standalone class? I really like the idea of that class, but I dont want the others. I want a proper pistol and shield class, and most of the other options are either A. Depreciated or B. Proficiency or Long War classes. I know Infiltrator can use shields as an option, but that class is not built for using a shield.

Hey Drumax, I'm so glad that you based your class pack on Richard's Classes (3 Perks per level PLUS LW2 Weapons) , one of the most underrated class pack out there. Well done.

@pabloaram2011 Thanks for using my mod and I agree, a lot of the classes CAN be very good at overwatching which was intended since it is one of my favorite mechanics of the game. I believe that 15 new classes with 3 tree tiers brings a lot of variety. Do some of them share some cool abilities? Yes, but in most cases, there's 2 other different abilities to choose from. Every time I play with these classes, one class steps up to become my new favorite. My main purpose for this mod was to share the fun that I'm having with these classes with everyone who enjoys the game like I do. One day when I'm better at modding, I hope to create something totally different and unique but everyone has to start some where. ;)

@GhOstmak3r pls dont be salty. He has a option to add the classes again but most of this class pack diversifies the roster over more than the four starting classes

Hi.. dont play with this but a glance half or so of your classes can become good overwatcher.. maybe giving a bit more variety could help.

damnit why do these modders keep removing the default classes. STOP. TAKING . AWAY. CONTENT. Add yes, and I love the additions, but damnit make it very hard to add any class mods when they do stupid stuff like removing content.
