Description
I return from an extended hiatus with my latest ww2 1:1 replica, the massive Me-323 Gigant. Enjoy!
(Quick disclaimer for those who are sensitive to certain content, i do not condone or support what happened during ww2 and the things committed by Germany, this is a replica only and a project made for fun)

Some information about the vehicle with a wiki summary:
The Me 323 was the result of a 1940 German requirement for a large assault glider in preparation for Operation Sea Lion, the projected invasion of Great Britain. However, in order to mount an invasion across the English Channel, the Germans would need to be able to airlift vehicles and other heavy equipment. Although Operation Sea Lion was cancelled, the requirement for a heavy air transport capability remained, with the focus shifting to the forthcoming Operation Barbarossa, the invasion of the Soviet Union.

The aircraft sports 5 defensive machine guns, 2 in the nose, 1 in a fixed casemate-like turret ontop of the cockpit facing forwards and 2 fully traversable turrets on the wings accessible by tunnels in the wings. Not much in terms of point defence, but thats part of the fun isnt it? It comes in at (in game size) a length of 29m, a massive wingspan of 58.25m and a height from the wheels to the top of the tail of 16m, making it the the largest land based operational aircraft of ww2. Its internal cargo area is a quite respectable 13.5m long, 3.25m wide and tall. The aircraft cruises at 210kph / 389knots at 0.55 throttle without a load. A total of 53,400L of fuel split in 2 tanks in the wings gives it a huge range, i havent calculated the range but i never used over 10% of fuel in 30 minutes of flying.

Startup guide:
1) Engine throttle ideally should be set anywhere above 0.25
2) Propeller pitch reduced to 0
3) Start the engines with the controls on the cockpit bulkhead
4) Once the engines are running, turn off the starters and start taxiing with around 0.3 engine throttle and 0.5 prop pitch
5) Once you are done taxiing (or you want to skip taxiing, no judgement there), throttle up the engines and pitch to full and gradually pull up

Features:
5 defensive guns
Repair tools and other kit
Parachutes
A simple altitude hold and bearing hold
Seats for a pilot, co-pilot (with shared controls) and a radio operator
Navigation, strobe and landing lights
A ramp when spawning with mag all connectors
Rocket stands to help push the aircraft side to side to point it in a better takeoff position for certain spawn areas

Keep in mind:
Although the vehicle isnt that laggy, it can result in some performance hits when spawned with other vehicles already in the world. The wing turrets may fling you out of the wing when exiting during flight, but this is preventable as long as you return them to the position they where in when spawned. Infinite fuel and electricity is not needed, it functions fine with both off.
NOTE: Modden workbench required, or spawn using a mission editor.
Any and all feedback is more than welcome!

Please DO NOT reupload this without my permission, you wouldnt want someone stealing your hard work right? So dont do it to me, thank you.

Would love if you could make a Walter HWK 109-500 that we could merge onto the 323.

A half track can usually fit in there, otherwise usually i put a Kubel Wagen and Pak40 in there which there is plenty of space.

@Mr.Timéo
I have none that ive made that ive put on the workshop that would fit. It really just boils down to if it can go up the ramp and past the doors, doesnt matter what it is

do you recommend any ww2 vehicle to load in with the Me 323?

Well thank you! I love your builds! and that'd be really nice to have its one of the few transport aircraft that had a working closable ramp in the rear besides the BV 222. I'd be stoked to see another aircraft built by you there just amazing!
