Named after the battle at salamis the Salmis class destroyer is the second class designed and constructed by the ESDF (Earth Sphere Defense Force) .
The Salamis class destroyer was built as a platform to bringing heavier weapons to a fleet but in a cheaper and smaller package.
The salamis was also designed to work in tandom with the Visby class corvette as the corvette would serve as a picket ship and the Salamis class destroyer as the anti-capital ship weapons platform, 1 Salamis and 2 visby class could in theory be equal to 1 Valour class battlecruiser.
