// SUMMARY

UA: Blessing of the Lady: doubles Horses, gives extra movement to mounted units, and extra Combat Strength in home territory. Intended to reflect their expertise as equestrians, and the protective ward of the Lady of the Lake.

UU: Grail Knight: very powerful Knight replacement. Gains a boost to Combat Strength when attacking (lance formation).

UB: Grail Chapel: replaces the Temple, adding Culture and mounted unit training to the Temple's Faith. Having an extra Culture-generating building also gives a gentle nudge to the top of the tech tree (away from those unchivalrous gunpowder/siege units).

One strategy with Bretonnia is to be expansionist: found many cities and use the Grail Chapel's extra Culture to swallow land. With the Grail Knight and the UA's home territory strength boost, this land is easy to hold by fighting defensive wars. Alternatively, you can take a more aggressive stance by spamming Grail Knights and going conquering in the Medieval era. It's important to get a good start with Bretonnia, as parts of their UA become redundant once cavalry give way to tanks.

// DISCUSSION

Bretonnia is an insular country, preoccupied with the sanctity of its land, with a haughty aristocratic class that is deeply infatuated with the Lady of the Lake and the protection she affords the nation. King Louen himself is famously courageous and pious. Even though it doesn't make sense for Bretonnia to go around spreading its faith, that's what religious civs do in Civilization V's mechanics, so in the context of those mechanics, this is how Bretonnia - and Louen Leoncoeur - would behave.

Louen will shoot for a Cultural victory first and a Domination victory second. Bretonnia's cultural achievements aren't much emphasised in Warhammer lore, but there's a certain hint of snobbiness, and occasional mention of architecture and beautiful people derived from the past Elven occupation of the land, that fits with the idea of Bretonnia as an artistic nation. Certainly, Bretonnia is never portrayed as a technological or diplomatic leader - in the fields of social and scientific enlightenment, it's feudal and stagnant - so the only victory type left for them to compete in was Cultural.

@⺈ĐꚆѓøčĶ῭Ǭج৴. : I appreciate you trying to help, but all the images you've linked below have the wrong look. One is clearly from the Lord of the Rings, the second is nice but the three lions symbol has no basis in WFB and is recognisably English, while the third, with spikes and horns etc, looks more like a Chaos Knight than a Bretonnian one.

A generic knight isn't really good enough: I need an image of the Bretonnian leader specifically. Louen Leoncoeur has particular personal heraldry and rides a hippogryph. The image I used is the best I could find and I did look for bigger versions. Being a less-popular army, good images are hard to come by.

I downloaded all your warhammer mods, please make Skaven and dark elves
Skaven should get +2 movement when moving away from enemies
Dark elves should gain happiness when you are at war
