Description
Hellcat Gorge is a very simplified 1v1 map. Somewhere in Tunisia, Allied forces are ambushed by Axis forces while passing through a gorge. A fierce tug of war for the center choke point ensues! Artillery and mortar fire may be necessary to retake the point, should you lose it...

Please subscribe to the improved, and fixed version of this map, (2) Hellcat Gorge V2. You can find it in my collection, or by searching for it. I encountered issues with the project file that I could not resolve. So I have used a back up of the map, to re upload the map, with all of the fixes and improvements. Including fog of war, fixed cliff collision, and new atmosphere and lighting. I plan to unpublish this map in a week or two. Thanks everyone!

Its a bit tricky sometimes for sure. Mainly just the little quirks about the editor that you have to learn. Thats sick! Cant wait for you to get back into the map editor then! haha

Thanks man. I was pretty hyped when relic announced Africa as a theater for the game, as I think desert battlefields can look really interesting and yeah, the desert color palette is a breath of fresh air after all the doom and gloom of a lot of coh maps.

Thanks for that. I know mapping is harder in COH3 than 2. I have a dozen maps in COH2 but havent ventured into this yet... but I am still in 'Tuning Pack' time. It is good to have some good looking maps that arent just one pallet.

Your maps are well thought out & very handsome... especially your latest. An award & gratitude from me.

Added FOW and changed interactivity area of the map to prevent forces from going onto the plateau. Please let me know if you encounter any issues

Oddly I had vehicles driving over the forbidden (plateau) area... completely circumventing the the playable canyon.

Hey Sgt. Barnes! Thank you for your kind words about the map. Glad you like it! No sir, that Stug was definitely going places he shouldn't have. I'll see if I can fix that with an update. I'm also going to upload a 4 player version of the map pretty soon here, if you are interested. Cheers!
