EDIT!
FINALLY UPDATED AFTER 48+ HOURS. So use this or the other version, they're the same now and I'll leave both in the workshop.

My version of the Polikarpov Po-2 or U-2LNB night bomber.

Though the bi-plane design was antiquated already before WW2 began the Soviets made good use of its strenghts and turned this slow but manoeuverable trainer plane into a capable night bomber.

This version is armed with one rearward facing 7.62×54mmR (0.30 in) ShKAS machine gun and carries 6 x 50 kg bombs.

The plane was famously used by the 588th Night Bomber Regiment with all female crew and ground crew. They got the nickname Nachthexen or Night Witches by the Germans. Though the material damage caused by these light aircraft with relatively small bomb loads, the psychological menace they posed, always attacking at night, usually with engies off and gliding the last bit to their target, and disrupting the enemies' sleep time after time should not be underestimated. The Germans were apperently further disheartened by the fact that they were being attacked by women.

UPDATE!
The actual top speed of this plane was only 150 kph which means I've had to increase it by some 75-80% for the plane to be able to fly in the current disastrous aerodynamics.
To overcome the extreme friction of the skid, the extreme lack of lift at low speeds and even lack of ground speed in the game with as weak an engine as this I have deviced a double throttle system.
1. When taking of use the Turbo Boost (X/Disabled steering) to use the full power of the engine.
2. Once you're airborne turn this OFF! The power needed to get the plane in the air makes it go 800+ kph if you leave this on, and it's not realistic (duh!) nor is the plane designed or trimmed to go that fast. But feel free to have fun with it of course. :)
3. This soultion makes you fly with the engine maxing out at about 3,400 rpm, but it's a lot better than cutting the engine out completely IMO.

Alt controls to fly.
W/S: Variable throttle.
S: Ground brake.
A/D: Ground steering/Yaw.
Up/Down arrows: Pitch.
Left/Right arrows: Roll.
Fire action 1-6/Num 1-6: Bombs.
X/Disable Steering: Tubo Boost for Take Off.

Rear machine gun (from rear seat)
Alt + Mouse or Arrow keys to control.
Fire action 1/Num 1: Fire.

Feel free to edit, but if you reupload publically in any way, please acknowledge the original creation and creator.

Have fun!

Yeah sadly the changes to aerodynamics in 1.3 ruined slow small planes being able to take off and even fly at a realistic speed. This plane's real stop speed was about 150 kph but at that speed any turn will basically make it fall out of the sky due to the extreme loss of speed turning causes in the game.
The "take-off booster" works ok but it's stupid that it's necessary to use a thing like that in the game. Sadly Fluppi seems to be happy with the state of aerodynamics and has stated as much so I doubt we will see a fix any time soon, or ever.

oh... ye youre right... it stopped functioning after 1.3?

Read the description! The aerodynamics for slow planes like this is absolutely broken in the game so I've had to use a boost to the engine to make it able to take off, and as it says in the description you need to press X during take-off for the plane to be able to leave the ground.
So please read the description.

doesn't take off, just spinning around the same place at speed around 15 kilometers per hour

Ok so this one has finally updated after 2 days and change and is now the same as the new upload, I'll let both stay uploaded so use either. :)

My Piper Cub also works well as a bush plane, especially the new version with the take-off boost. :)

Since this version is refusing to update I'll leave it for another few hours and if nothing has happened I'll upload the new version separately.
Again fuck BR and Steam Workshop for being so crap at basic stuff like this. 🙄

So all the other versions have been correctly updated by Workshop (only took 12 hours) but this one hasn't for some reason. Trying to update it again.

Uploaded two civilian versions and a crop duster, but please let me know if you want something else for the bush plane. :)

I can definitely make a civilian bush plane with the passenger seat turned forward and no gun or bombs and in some non-military livery if that's what you're thinking.
