the Saturn one block two was a predecessor to the Saturn 5, it was used 10 times to carry small payloads to LEO(low earth orbit)
block 2 was used exclusively to test launch escape systems for the Apollo missions.
it was also considered for use as a missile.

the third stage was a prototype Apollo capsule.
