Description
Adds new coats, antler sizes, and antler sprite variation to the best of my ability.

You won't need to worry about load order for this one, just keep it below vanilla as normal.

Ah sorry i misread your first post with the load order, i thought you meant it had to be loaded before.

Thanks everything seems to be working right now. I didn't notice spots on female deer when I first tested and looked at the deer code with [SELECT_CASTE:MALE] a few lines above where you added spots. Apparently [GO_TO_TAG:HAS_NERVES] reset the cast selection since I found a bunch of spotted female deer in my last test.

This mod edits vanilla creatures so if put in the load order above vanilla_creatures it will break [COPY_TAGS_FROM:DEER] and [SELECT_CREATURE:DEER]
[DOES_NOT_EXIST]

It's not an issue since it requires effort to mess the load order up and only reverts to vanilla deer but if you ever make a new update adding [REQUIRES_ID_BEFORE_ME:vanilla_creatures] to the info file would make it idiot proof.

In the testing area atleast both castes have spots, and im not able to replicate the load order issue and it shouldnt be a problem as i have it set to replace the deer entirely rather than load its graphics before the originals.
But i did never patched this after the baby graphics update, ill patch that now but im unable to replicate the other issues.

There are two easily fixable problems I found. one is that you had the male dear cast selected when you added spots. female dear always have plain colored coats. the bigger one is that baby deer graphics don't show up. I don't know why your code does't work but I do know that it can be fixed if you remove everything after [END_LAYER_GROUP] and replace it with this.

Load order actually does matter with this mod but I doubt anyone would put in all the effort to load it before vanilla creatures for no good reason.

Oh dear... I never realized how lacking the deer were until I got this mod! 10/10, much more realism in a land of trolls and raging dragons!
