Description
My version of the Polikarpov U-2SPL Passenger/limousine/liaison plane with room for 2 passengers (the rear one has to lie down since the rear fuselage is filled with sensors etc for the double throttle system).

Though the bi-plane design was antiquated already before WW2 began the Soviets made good use of its strenghts and turned this slow but manoeuverable trainer plane into a capable night bomber and also used it for transport, passengers and injured soldiers.

The plane was famously used by the 588th Night Bomber Regiment with all female crew and ground crew. They got the nickname Nachthexen or Night Witches by the Germans. Though the material damage caused by these light aircraft with relatively small bomb loads, the psychological menace they posed, always attacking at night, usually with engies off and gliding the last bit to their target, and disrupting the enemies' sleep time after time should not be underestimated. The Germans were apperently further disheartened by the fact that they were being attacked by women.

UPDATE!
The actual top speed of this plane was only 150 kph which means I've had to increase it by some 75-80% for the plane to be able to fly in the current disastrous aerodynamics.
To overcome the extreme friction of the skid, the extreme lack of lift at low speeds and even lack of ground speed in the game with as weak an engine as this I have deviced a double throttle system.
1. When taking of use the Turbo Boost (X/Disabled steering) to use the full power of the engine.
2. Once you're airborne turn this OFF! The power needed to get the plane in the air makes it go 800+ kph if you leave this on, and it's not realistic (duh!) nor is the plane designed or trimmed to go that fast. But feel free to have fun with it of course. :)
3. This soultion makes you fly with the engine maxing out at about 3,400 rpm, but it's a lot better than cutting the engine out completely IMO.

Alt controls to fly.
W/S: Variable throttle.
S: Ground brake.
A/D: Ground steering/Yaw.
Up/Down arrows: Pitch.
Left/Right arrows: Roll.
X/Disable Steering: Tubo Boost for Take Off.

Feel free to edit, but if you reupload publically in any way, please acknowledge the original creation and creator.

Have fun!

Hehe it's a cool plane for sure. A bit outside what I usually build but it is actually on my list. Not quite having the energy at the moment to tackle such a huge build though, but maybe someday when the stars align and my mental health is just normal level shit and not utterly atrocious shit.

As far as I can find it was produced in small numbers (37 built according to Wikipedia) and flew (16 prototypes flew before the end of the war again according to Wikipedia) during the war but it was never used in combat. It is a very cool plane and a good idea, but again I very much build whatever I feel like if and when I feel like it (and my mental health permits me) so I don't want to make promises I can't keep.

Also i think it was used in small number, but i may be wrong

I mean it would be cool anivesary-thing, but make what you want just a simple idea

409 by my count (some may not be public), but over half of them are duplicates and triplicates. ;)
The Do-335 is on my list but I'm afraid as always I can't say when or if I'll build it, especially since I prefer planes that were actually used during the war. But it is on my list. :)

I found out u made 335 planes, so i think making do 335 would be best thing to make now

Ah I just saw that this particular passeneger version actually had a built in cockpit as well but it'll have to be what it is, I honestly can't be bothered right now. :)
