Rotoroa Island

This terrain is a loose interpretation of Rotoroa, an island lying in the Hauraki Gulf of New Zealand's North Island. While the topography and basic layout of the island are realistic, several areas have been fictionalized in order to make the map playable. There are some civilian areas alongside several hardpoints of varying scale and defendability.

Several compounds and buildings have been fictionalized to make the terrain more fun to play on. This map intends to capture the beauty of the Hauraki Gulf, and New Zealand, as it is heavily underrepresented in ArmA 3 terrains. This is, hopefully, only the first island of the Hauraki Gulf we will make, as we have plans to make Waiheke Island next.

Resonance was inspired to make this terrain after visiting the island!
All of the loading screen tips are true - even the slightly strange ones!
This terrain was made in 10 days, but most of it was done in three days.
Ken drank 5 liters of coffee during the making of this terrain - Resonance drank two.
Both a New Zealand and Lazer Kiwi flag are included in the terrain!
