Jaggid's Moons

Description
A collection of alternate moons for different gameplay.

So far, 3 moons.
  • Io - A peaceful moon, similar to Concordia but gentler with more time to recover between attacks and even less rapid scaling.
  • Angrier Io - Still a peaceful moon, but with this one you will be attacked twice as frequently as the regular Io. For people who want things easy, but still want to shoot stuff.
  • Ares - Forever will Ares keep you on your toes, bringing a blend of Nyx and extreme Chaos.
  • Nyx II - Similar to Nyx but with more time to prepare after an attack wave spawns.


It obviously takes a while to test these into the late game stages, so anyone who uses either moon for any extended period please let me know. Mostly interested in if Io makes things easier for a long term, relaxed game, and if Ares is still too easy.
The intent is for Ares to be harder than any of the default moons and Ios to be easier.

These sound great. I picked my difficulty based on not wanting to have a ton of free starting gear, but the insect attacks are way too frequent for my taste. Is it possible to change the moon on an existing game, or would that break things?

BTW Peace is excellent of military scenario on very hard.
You get huge attacks once in a while and the challenge is surviving against nature.

Is it possible to disable the the popup messages about gazing or no gazing?

Yah, I hated Peace first myself when I tried it. The game needs more stuff to build, decorate with, etc. that isn't centered around defense for it to be engaging (just mho).

I haven't actually gotten any feedback on this mod beyond what is in these comments. I myself mainly play with a custom moon that I added to this which I didn't even publish. A version of Nyx that is like Nyx in all respects except attacks are not "always" at night.

Interesting! Have you gotten any further feedback on this anywhere? I've been playing on easy difficulty before, but going for normal now. I also tried 'Peace first', but that was pretty boring, tbh :lunar2019smilingpig:

Hard plus the moon combined, yes. I mean, if you play on hard, even with the game's default moons you can get attacked so frequently that you are barely finished with one when the next one starts.

Just started my first game with this. On hard difficulty. Io is the moon. 1st attack came after quite a delay which was nice, but then I had attacks on day 17, 20 and now 23. That doesn't feel normal to me. Is it because I'm on Hard difficulty?
