@ADFENTUS: No, scientifically, there are three SEXES: male, female, intersex. CULTURALLY, there are historically multiple recognized genders. You're conflating your social vs scientific terms and concepts.

Historically, cultures in Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa, have recognized various types of nonbinary gender. A binary view of gender is just what you were culturally raised to narrowly believe was universal. Just as many people are raised to believe there's only one god, and that is their god.

I may be straight as a plumb line personally, but I can also grasp multiple historical perspectives.
