Harris Aero Ha. 102 'Woodpigeon' Light Aircraft

A light recreational monoplane, single engined, with a semi-enclosed cockpit and fully enclosed cabin. Fitted with a fixed pitch propeller and 'wet-wings' to allow for extra cabin space, the Woodpigeon was popular throughout the 20s with amateur pilots and the rich. Options were available, such as heating and a fully enclosed cockpit (even several different engine configurations, including a 3 cylinder radial!), but most examples left them out due to the already high price of the aircraft. A limited number were pressed into service as airliners, but their low weight capacity and lack of creature comforts made them unpopular.
