UPDATED!!!
I tidied up the nose a little with the help of the new bricks. It's still a bit rough but it's better. Also added Exit locations for seats.

3,095 bricks!

My take on the iconic Antonov An-225 Mriya (Dream).

It's an approximation and not a 1:1 replica in any way.

DISCLAIMER!
This plane has a lot of working actuators and moving parts, and while it seems to work nicely while testing it quite extensively on my PC in solo play and at 144 fps I have no idea how it will behave at lower fps or in multi player with ping and fps issues.

The Antonov 225 was originally developed during the 1980s for the express purpose of transporting Buran-class orbiters. (No, I will not build the Buran, so please don't ask.)
Only one plane was ever completed, and when the Buran programme was cancelled it was mothballed for a few years until it was repurposed as a cargo transport, which it operated as until it was destroyed in February 2022.

Alt controls to fly. (These are all controlled from the pilot's seat.)
Spacebar/Handbrake: Handbrake. (Don't forget to release before taking off.)
W/S: Throttle.
S:Brakes.
A/D: Ground steering/Yaw. (The front wheels and the six rearward pairs are steered like on the real plane so the turning radius is quite small.)
Up/Down arrows: Pitch.
Left/Right arrows: Roll.
X/Disable Steering: Main landing gears.
Auxiliary/PageUp-PageDown: Front landing gears. (Hold, an indicator on the dashboard shows progress. I had to make the front gear Accumulated instead of seking since it is also partially used when loading the plane, see below.)
Hold X/Invert steering: Front landing gear doors. (Must be controllable separate from the front gear since the gear is used in the loading process. To avoid clipping make sure the front landing gear is fully up before closing them, and make sure to open them before you lower the front landing gear.)
L/Headlights: Position lights.
B/Beacon: Landing lights.
K/Hazard Lights: Lift/lower nose cone for loading.

To operate the slightly complex loading ramp please follow the procedure below.
Use either the buttons on the starboard side right behind the ramp or the detachable remote control panel found next to the passenger door on the port side near the ramp.
- Make sure the nose cone is open (opened from Pilot's seat with K/Hazard lights)!
- Only perform this operation on level ground!

1. Fold down the support legs with button marked Supports 1, button 1 on the remote control panel.
2. Lower the support legs with button marked Supports 2, button 2 on the remote control panel.
3. Raise the nose landing gear just enough until the plane rests on the support legs. DO NOT RAISE IT ALL THE WAY! The wheels should still touch the ground and help support the plane. Use button marked Nose Wheel, button 3 on the remote control panel. This will make the plane "kneel" down and assist with loading.
4. Lower the ramp mechanism with button marked Lower Ramp, button 4 on the remote control panel.
5. Unfold the first stage of the ramp with button marked Ramp 1, button 5 on the remote control panel.
6. Unfold the second stage of the ramp with button marked Ramp 2, button 6 on the remote control panel.
7. Unfold the third stage of the ramp with button marked Ramp 3, button 7 on the remote control panel.
8. Load the plane.

To get ready for take-off do the whole procedure in reverse: Ramp 3, Ramp 2, Ramp 1, Lower ramp, Nose wheel, Supports 2, Supports 1, and lower the planes nose cone into position.

NEW!
I added some winches in the cargo bay to secure cargo since if you actually put anything in there it would bounce around in flight.
- Attach a winch to each of the 4 corners on each loaded item, in an X -shape. (See pics in slide show.)
- Tighten the winches slowly to remove any slack with the button next to each winch.
- The item will be reasonably well secured in flight. Sudden dives will have the zero-G Vomit Comet effect though and usually lift the items off the floor, but they will at least not fly around freely.

- The small rear cargo door is operated with the buttons close to it on the outside of the plane or the one on the inside marked Cargo Door.
- The passenger door is operated with adjacent buttons on the in- and outside of the plane.
- The cargo area lights are operated from the button marked Lights.
- The ladders leading up to the flight deck/cockpit and the rear passenger compartment are operated with adjacent marked buttons.
- The flight deck has normal lights and red night lights operated from buttons near the entrance.
- The passenger area has lights operated from the button near the entrance.
- The plane uses a lot of fuel but I put enough in there to last for at least a lap around the outer perimeter of the larger maps.

Feel free to edit, but if you reupload publicly in any way please acknowledge the original creation and creator.

Have fun!

I've tidied up the nose a bit with the help of the new available pieces and added Exit locations for the seats. All but the thumbnail and the first pic are of the old version though just FYI.

well it does look cool but the an-225 got destoyed after the russiain invetion attack and it was only the one plane of history :(

Дякую!

No worries, I'm well aware of the sluggishness of the plane in the air but the way the aerodynamics in the game "work", especially for a plane this size, rolling is a pain for sure and takes far too long, but as I said I've done as much as I can (adding extra aielerons to help with the rolling but I can't add too many since they tend to affect other flying charcteristics too). But yes some planning ahead is needed when manoeuvering and is is a bit of a behemoth to control in the air.
I'm glad you like it. :)

Keep in mind that I'm not complaining at all here, I still use this plane a lot

Well it's not my fault the map is the way it is. You can take off from the City airfield if you position yourdelf corretly, but yes it is a bit cramped.
When it comes to being hard to turn mid-air I know it's a bit sluggish, but keep in mind this is not a small plane that can flutter about any way it wants to, and the game has some sever limtations on how fast a plane with a wide wing span can roll. FOr some resson rolling is a bout ten times harder than pithing for almost all planes with a bit of a wing span.
I've done the best I can with the controls under the game's limitations, but yes you have to be a bit patient and plan ahead a bit since you can't just turn on a dime.
And feel free to edit the plane and imtpove its flight characteristics if you want to give it a go. You could always add thrusters for rolling for example but I do not want to do that so it is what it is.

I tried to take off the City runway and got stuck on a hill because the wings were too wide
Mean Green  [author] 14 Jan, 2024 @ 8:59am
Very little I can do about the roll since that is a feature that really doesn't work in the game for any planes with large wing spans, but why you're having trouble with pitch and take-off I do not know since both work well for me and I can easily take off from the City airfield.
Are you sure you release the hand brake (Space bar) before you try to take off? It's not released automatically with thrusters.
That's the only thing I can think of since I have no issues with taking off (nor with pitch).

pitch and roll is far too weak and you require like a 50 mile long runway to take off

I love this, good job. But I'm not sure if it's supposed to be this hard to turn mid-air
