GMC CCKW WWII Wrecker

Description
The GMC CCKW 2 ½ ton 6x6 truck, better known as the deuce and a half, or Jimmy, was your standard US military cargo truck from 1940 all the way into the 80s until they were finally phased out in favor of the M35 cargo truck. These trucks were only produced from around 1941-1945, however they maintained a multitude of variants, and were sold under a number of lend-lease programs through their service.

This model is the wrecker CCKW with its signature Bed crane and wrecker bar rather than its flat bed. Its rather simple to use, but I still advise you read the instructions as this truck has the same features as its real life counterpart.

Features:
Fully 1:1 representation
True to life speed
Working mirrors
High and low range 5 speed manual transmission
Easy and simple operation
True to life light configuration
Fully functioning crane and wrecker bar
Operation:
Given that this is 1:1, in order to start it you have to turn on the electrical systems with the switch next to the gauge cluster, then down and to the right of the steering wheel, turn the starter pedal on and the truck will start. The dash and headlight switches are located next to the electrical systems switch. To move from here, use the up and down keys to shift up through the 5 gears. Be careful as there is no gear counter, so it's up to you to know when to shift or when to continue driving. NOTE (you start in neutral, tapping the down key once shifts into reverse, then you can shift back up into neutral and you can shift back through the 5 forward gears). If you're hauling a heavy load, or need to get up a steep incline, you can shift into low gear using the 1 key. To shift back to high gear simply press 1 again. The parking brake is then located under the dash above the starter pedal.

Rule of thumb: I tend to shift when the oil pressure hits about 63-65

I hope you enjoy this truck and its realism to its real life counterpart, as you may know making things 1:1 in stormworks isn't always the easiest, especially when they're “smaller” like this truck. Enjoy! -Gabe

Nice! though you can simplify a lot of the data using function nodes in the microcontrollers rather than fuction inputs
