Description
My take on the ground-attack aircraft Henschel Hs-129.

This is an approximation, not a 1:1 replica.

The design of the Hs-129 was relatively effective when it was first introduced and it saw service in Tunisia and on the Eastern Front in a variety of front-line roles, as the war progressed increasingly as an anti-tank support weapon.

This B3 version in winter camouflage is armed with two 13 mm MG 131 (double machine guns).
Replacing the two 20 mm cannons is an automatic BK 7.5 cm Bordkanone anti-tank gun, developed from the highly successful PaK 40 anti-tank gun, in a pod under the fuselage. The drum magazine housed in the fuselage only held 12 rounds, so to slightly emulate this it has a low rate of fire and only fires 4 round maximum bursts of AP rounds (double AP guns bc of the caliber). Only 25 examples of the Hs-129 B3 managed arrive at the front before production was shut down in September 1944, and even though it proved highly effective against enemy armour the small number of aircraft had little impact on the war effort.

Alt controls to fly.
W/S: Variable throttle.
S: Ground brake.
A/D: Ground steering/Yaw.
Up/Down arrows: Pitch.
Left/Right arrows: Roll.
X/Disable steering: Landing gear.
Fire action 1/Num 1: Machine guns. *
Fire action 2/Num 2: 7.5 cm anti-tank gun.

* The sight is as you can see set off-centre, this was how it was placed on the real plane so you'll need to find the correct aiming spot with some trial and error.

** As always the German winter camouflage with it's intricate and/or airbrushed patterns and blotches don't really work in the game so I've used their base colours for a simpler pattern.

NOTE!
The flight characteristics of this plane are a bit... floaty and a little weird somehow, but I've done my best to trim it reasonably well.
