Culture Unit Makeover

Actually I just tested and without this the edit army options were just gone so while this is kind f broken with some mounts it looks like the other mods are as well but you still need this to edit units at all

you don't need this if you have thematic addon

I'm confused do I need this still if I have thematic add on? one of these updates makes cavalry models for certain mounts underground...

guide to adding the dependency:

1. Find the mod in your workshop folder and copy the files to a new folder in your local Documents\Paradox Interactive\Age of Wonders 4\Mods folder.
2. In that folder make a zip file of all the files. So you have like Mods\unitmakeover\makeover.zip
3. Open Package Manager and make a new mod. Click content-> packages-> check the dependency and click ok. If it doesn't show up you messed up the zip step.
4. Start Resource Editor (from Package Manager!) and click content-> resouce packs-> add.. then navigate to the copied mod folder and add the Packs/um_categories.rpk as a dependency

For making the outfits just take a look at the other mods or um_basegame_modularity.rpk

Add an arms, torso, legs, and headitem component for each outfit even if they're empty (to overwrite the base outfit)

Basically just copy over the mesh items from other outfits you like.

That's a good thing to have, that guide/tutorial. I wish I know how to create models for units since making more diverse themes for each culture is such a nice idea. Imagine Roman themed dwarfs or other armor themes out there

Is there a modding guide/tutorial on how to make our own looks to apply to units with this mod as a depencency? Is it hard to do?
I have some ideas for stuff I want to try making.

the game keep crashing in fatcion creater when i use this mode

So without modifying original files the gender slider can't be fixed.

It's possible to fix specific outfit genders (make soothers/skirmishers always female) but it's kind of annoying, and nobody complained about that, so I'm probably going to leave it as it is.

@Shadowing That won't be necessary i made outlaw compatible last uppdate i also intend to add outlaw culture appearance to Unique Culture Appearance.

Wanted to ask would it be possible to make this and outlaws culture patch?
