Description
A single-player campaign in which you play as the British 8th Army against an AI opponent representing Panzergruppe Afrika during Operation Crusader.

Requires the Text Mod tuning pack to work properly.

The game options screen has more details but the basic steps are:
  • Create a Custom Game instead of a Single-Player Skirmish for the best experience (Custom Game removes Tactical Pause since it messes with the squad selection UI).
  • Pick any stock 2 or 4 player map (desert maps are recommended).
  • Set your faction to British Forces.
  • Add a single AI opponent. Set its faction to Afrikakorps. Set its difficulty to anything but Expert.
  • Set the tuning pack to Text Mod (required for proper squad names).
  • Optionally set the ticket count greater than the default of 400 to make battles last longer (this normally makes them easier as well).
  • Click the Start Game button to start the campaign or resume it after a battle has finished.

Apologies that it's only available in English - there's no easy way to show modded localized text in the UI.

Question, how do you play exactly? I start a battle move my units like 4 inches and then the game freezes?

First of all, apologies for my ignorance of some parts of this game. How do i set up a CUSTOM GAME?

@cardinaluk - Just go through the same steps again. The campaign map will reflect any changes to deployment or movement made before the start of the previous battle, as well as the result of the battle itself. The division that won will be in control of the spot where the battle took place and the division that lost will have either retreated (if defending), remained stationery (if attacking), or been destroyed (if there was nowhere to which they could retreat or their combat strength was reduced below 50%).

Where can I find full documentation?
I setup the mod as written but after I won the first mission, it put me back into the main menu. What did I do wrong?

Thanks for the campaign! Any plans to update it to include Air & Sea units?

@WUT - It's pretty simple since you don't directly use campaign resources. Essentially, if any campaign resources reach zero then any deployed devisions won't be supplied - which means they don't regain any combat strength. The same occurs if they are in territory that is not connected to your HQ at Sollum. Capturing supply depots, fuel dumps, or towns increases your manpower/munition/fuel supplies, which allows you to deploy more divisions. Capturing airfields increases your available daily air reconnaissance flights, which allows you to spot enemy divisions.

@thequban what are the resources for and how can I use it?

Operation Husky is damn exciting, can't wait to see what you come up with, with time! :critical:
