Description
Changes the perspective to horseback height, leading to a completely different battle experience adding realism, immersion and facilitate more interesting and engaging game play:

- Managing individual troops is harder, so every battle must be planned and carried out semi-automatically via formed grouped attacks, distant target acquiring or path commands. I consider AI General II and Attack Move and Counter Charge mandatory, as it allows for AI assigning and automated counters for your units with a button, away from your sight. This makes the battle feel more real as it unfolds without your involvement in every tactical action, where the emphasis shifts to formations and the battle plan rather than on the micro engagements of individual units.

- Terrain matters, as you can’t see what’s over the hill/wall next to you. You can roll your camera there, but it’s more of a hassle. If battle realism is checked, scouting becomes essential, you can use first person camera with airborne units to scout. This enlarges the map as the scale diminishes and makes the army positioning much more important as micro managing is harder.

- Magic is sick, use Realistic Particle Effects for less effects before spell casting (recommended anyway).

- Since the AI is better at responsiveness and simultaneous managing, it also balances you with the AI, making battles way harder and interesting.

- Realistic smaller banners display to de-clutter the screen

This needs several battles to get adjusted for, but it's worth it as the battles are much more challenging and fun, combine with Random Weather for extra effects.

for a more realistic experience play it with Mute Music in Battle and battle realism camera setting and turn off the icons in the in-battle menu (spacebar), so no tactical map and mini map with the camera restricted to 15m of a unit.

Recommended key bindings and tips:
- mouse 4/5 for camera movement
- C for pan to unit
- HOME for pan to general
- Tab for AI assignment
- Caps Lock for counter assignment
- Keyboard arrows for easy formation movement including to unseen area
- CTRL + left/right arrows for angled movement
- CTRL + up/down arrows for units width adjustments
- Shift+RMB for curved movement
- J for 180 degrees turn facing

Management tips:
- Unit cards order entail the formation so arrange those first
- The mini-map can be used for deployment and management as well (only in deployment phase if battle realism is checked)
- Grouped attack order is essential for a lined engagement, use unlocked different groups for formation movement (as different locked groups will screw with the positioning)
- Have the battle stages implemented in the formation, i.e. have flanking units or back line troops further away so they arrive after the main engagement commences, or create a grouped formation and then arrange differently, i.e. archers in the front first, so you have an initial formation followed by a second formation.
- Remove all floating UI or have them appear only with space so the screen is much cleaner and cool.

The story: I made this mod for my girlfriend who watches the game but doesn’t understand what’s happening when I’m zoomed out and moving around all the time, so I lowered the camera to be fixed on horseback height, to experience the battle from a more cinematic perspective.

This was done purely for entertainment, as it allowed for otherwise unseen unit, map and scenery details (siege in particular is amazing), cool vocals like advises and commands i'v never heard before, and more immersion in general, but it also changes game play in very cool ways, so I thought it's worth sharing.

Recommended to play with my collection which addresses other battle aspects of the game.

Any comment/insight/request/bug is HIGHLY appreciated and welcome.

A brilliant mod. I've often thought that something like this should be implemented into Total War. Have you ever considered porting this over to Rome 2 and making it compatible for DEI. I think it would get a much bigger reception with that community.
