Sawyer Airways SA-23 Regional Airliner

Description
This is my first proper regional jet with what i call ''simplified realism''. It features extra steps and procedures to get it working and other bits and bobs to give it that extra feel that you are in a plane, this has been a project over a year in the making for me, since i always struggle to find a design i like, until i landed (pun) on this design, i hope you like it and please up-vote and maybe even favourite it, it really helps, thank you and have fun!

General and ''fictional'' information
The SA-23 Regional Jet is a twin rear engine passenger jet. Its intended role is as a domestic aircraft for short haul flights for low fares. Its design dates back to the late 70's when the need for a low maintenance and cheap to operate aircraft to combat other transport methods arose. The aircraft can thus takeoff and land on short runways and operate with minimal infrastructure beyond a fuel truck and airstair. Featuring a spacious cabin for a plane of its role, it makes the passenger experience more tolerable on short and cramped flights.

Checklist

You do not have to follow this checklist, it is simply imitating what a real checklist would roughly look like. It is a useful guide though to get you moving.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FMC guide

The FMC (Flight Management Computer) is used to setup the autopilot, you can use both number values in the keypad, but for GPS value 1 is GPS X and value 2 is GPS Y. Type in for example your desired altitude of 800m, go to the VNAV (alt autopilot) and find the set button and turn it on, when the set is on you can input your number of choice using the buttons next to the keypad, once that is done turn off the set button and you are free to toggle the autopilot that you just set on and off. It will remember that input unless changed. You can clear all inputted values with the button next to the set buttons.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Notes

To open the cargo door, you need to unlock it using a switch behind the co-pilot above the repair equipment. After that, go to the underside of the fuselage besides the cargo door where a small switch is located, using that you can open it.

Not sure where to put this so ill add it here: do not be alarmed if you hear an audible buzzer noise in the cockpit, it is simply a warning telling you that you are 1km from your GPS target.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Known bugs
  • LNAV has issues working, advised not to use until fixed.
  • Rarely, but it does sometimes happen, the plane will start to yaw left or right for no reason, i blame this on a sneaky pivot somewhere creating phantom forces.
  • FMC value 2 input sometimes doesnt input, this can be worked around by turning off the set while holding the input.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As always, if you find a bug, or want to suggest a feature, or even maybe give me an idea for a future project, feel free to msg me either here or on the stormworks official discord server (preferably @ me in #general).

Please do not steal and/or reupload this without my permission, you would not want someone stealing from you, right? So dont steal my hard work from me, thanks

Depends what propulsion. Normal exhaust: fighter will catch up, fan jet: more even

dose it out run a fighter by any chance?

Plane looks great, pretty broken in terms of maneuvering. Bank too far left or right, the yoke will freeze up.

@MapleWood
Do the engines actually go from the starter sound to the jet sound? If yes, that is something ive never encountered before. If no, double check the APU bleed and the switches to shutoff the throttle

I keep having to hold the "Start engine" buttons, as soon as I let go they stop working. I'm guessing I'm doing something wrong?
