Description
Now you can build a base or ship on one of our solar system's own objects. I'm using official NASA telemetry models imported into the game as asteroids to try to simulate as many as possible. I've also tried to include the materials measured in each object. Unfortunately 1:1 scale is not possible, but I've tried to maximize the achievable volume.

The far side of the Moon, previously called the "dark" side of the Moon, is the hemisphere of the Moon that always faces away from Earth. The far side's terrain is rugged, with a multitude of impact craters and relatively few flat lunar maria. It has one of the largest craters in the Solar System, the South Pole–Aitken basin.

I'm working on a system to give all my flat maps directional gravity. Due to the thickness of the slabs its a bit of a challenge, but I will post an update when I've got it.

Is There anyway you could update the map with a spherical gen in the center that will be powered for 999999 yrs or something. Then get the Grav almost as close to the real thing? :D

This is awesome BTW, downloading now, but if this is posible, it would be an awesome addition.

You've gotta rotate the original model in relation to it's origin before importing, I'll take a look at this.

Keep in mind though that "dark" refers to the fact that the hemisphere is turned away from Earth, and that it experinces just as much daytime as the "light" side as the moon travels in its orbit. The dark/light destinction is slowly being replaced by far/near.

I love this map but I am curious if there is a way to rotate it away from the sun/main light source? I wanna try to build a base simulated on the dark side of the moon. Couldn't figure out how to do it in SE toolbox.

If anyone is building stations or ships with these maps, let me know! I'd love to see some pics of what the future could look like on these locations.

IIRC maximum dimension on this one is 1500 meters.
