No annoyingly complicated drones covered in guns, which is a plus. No, this sub has some legitimately cool and underrated concepts implemented, like the dual cockpit setup, the interesting ballast layout, the exterior top chaingun, and the dual feed system that both saves space (true to this sub's nature) and puts restrictions on firing both guns at once. The flak ammo reserve location seems a little forced, but it does make sense given the fact that there is very little space left inside the sub for it.
Love her for it though! She's a fun time and complicated to manage. Even has an in-built moonpool!
-I have encountered AND killed a Charybdis, a Latcher, AND an Endworm with this ship with zero casualties, it being just Me and my medical shipmate Dr. Xavion Stanley.
-This supports 3 people AT MOST. Any more and you just start getting crowded. I selected this because it was Very small and therefore easy to use in a singleplayer game. I can proudly say that it very much does that job.
-This ship is alot more broken and overpowered than any other ship I've encountered. If you're smart with the capacitor and conserve energy, you can outrun just about Anything on Europa and finish 2000 meter dashes in about 5 minutes. This thing is a beast and even 45 minutes is More than enough time. I don't think I've ever gone Below 50% power even while doing around 3-4 missions on one level, or even hopping between two empty outposts at the same time and not having any power to charge her with.
-You can just Shut the oxygen generators door and you have a fifth ballast. I usually turn the engines to maximum and shut that door and I'm just fine and dandy, top speed.
Over-all, 10/10 ship, get an elder mechanic with some skills to upgrade the hull 6/6 and you can happily venture into the void.
-Do note: The stealth mode is good but oftentimes Very Jank. I like that it uses outside engines to give you an approximation of where you won't get spotted but I've only found that mode useful if I'm trying to sneak around Molochs (Love em' too much to shoot at em'. They're just livin' their lives!) I'd rather just shoot whatever's in the area, or run away on Max Engines and Full Aheads.
