GAMEPLAY:

The Centurion is a small vessel not good at taking hits from anything larger than a thresher. That means that to survive you need to make sure that you keep a distance and use suppressive fire.

Time is not your friend, due to size limitations a reactor could not be fitted onboard. Battery power is all you can get, usually lasting more than 45 minutes.

If the captain doesn't know how to use the given tools to properly navigate, the whole crew goes down. A brief analysis follows:

The navigation console provides three quick reaction options. FULL AHEAD, FULL ASTERN and FIRE FLAK. Full ahead and full astern give a brief but potent speed boost use it responsibly, for it consumes a lot of power. Fire flak is self-describing, double click to fire the forward facing flak cannon residing under the ship.

Above the captain's seat are three levers. The first switches between normal and overcharged engine power. The second activates the backup battery, in case you are running low and the third activates stealth mode. Stealth mode makes the Centurion almost undetectable to unsuspecting creatures. The enhanced passive sonar will help you navigate while also showing you the minimum distance you need to keep from enemies before they spot you.

Stealth will not work if the engine is overcharged and speed boosting will give away your position too. Crew running makes you easily detectable by monsters.

Next to the navigation terminal is a switch and a button. Flipping the switch arms the depth charge below the ship, hitting the button fires it.

If you read this, congratulations, you are qualified to pilot this ship and (probably) live to tell the tale.

EXTRA:

-To reload the flak cannon and depth charge you'll need to dive under the ship. There are markings that indicate both loaders.

-The Centurion has been confirmed to have killed a Charybdis once, half the crew are dead.

-If you are cornered by a swarm, boosting straight through it might work.

-Hammerheads are very dangerous, keep a good distance and suppress them. A good hit from one is sure to send you crashing down.

-Being boarded sucks, even more so when you've got nowhere to run.

-With the bottom moonpool open you can use small arms to shoot out of the sub.

-Be sure to fully recharge batteries before leaving a station.

-Pineapple pizza is not so good.

-Bots won't use the top chaingun.

-Your descend speed is where you are at you slowest, try to zig-zag if being chased and use the top chaingun for suppression.

-Many thanks to The Experimental Workshop discord for helping during testing.

Let me know of any issues or if you managed to kill an endworm. Have fun!

The periscope is next to it, pop your head out of the top hatch...and wear a suit

How do we use the top chaingun?

This thing is beautiful. Spent a couple hours with it and a few combat mods, testing them all out for a campaign with my friend. This sub is not only insanely unique, its also remarkably balanced. It's only really op in the sense of speed, you can run massive expanses quickly, but it's well balanced with low health and some awesome gimmicks.
No annoyingly complicated drones covered in guns, which is a plus. No, this sub has some legitimately cool and underrated concepts implemented, like the dual cockpit setup, the interesting ballast layout, the exterior top chaingun, and the dual feed system that both saves space (true to this sub's nature) and puts restrictions on firing both guns at once. The flak ammo reserve location seems a little forced, but it does make sense given the fact that there is very little space left inside the sub for it.

I am in love with this sub, once you get some battery upgrades the battery time is very manageable especially when using dynamic Europa. My friends and I are haven't died yet while being in the sub. Personally i like using the stealth mode as a get away paired with a decoy charge and boosting away overall a 10/10 sub the only issue being that the storage starts getting cramped after a couple scavenging missions

Sir, this is an Mi-24 Hind.

TL;DR: This ship is alot more OP than you think. Hardly sinks easy even with some Nasty hull damage. Those water pumps KICK like a Mule!
Love her for it though! She's a fun time and complicated to manage. Even has an in-built moonpool!

-I have encountered AND killed a Charybdis, a Latcher, AND an Endworm with this ship with zero casualties, it being just Me and my medical shipmate Dr. Xavion Stanley.
-This supports 3 people AT MOST. Any more and you just start getting crowded. I selected this because it was Very small and therefore easy to use in a singleplayer game. I can proudly say that it very much does that job.
-This ship is alot more broken and overpowered than any other ship I've encountered. If you're smart with the capacitor and conserve energy, you can outrun just about Anything on Europa and finish 2000 meter dashes in about 5 minutes. This thing is a beast and even 45 minutes is More than enough time. I don't think I've ever gone Below 50% power even while doing around 3-4 missions on one level, or even hopping between two empty outposts at the same time and not having any power to charge her with.

-You can just Shut the oxygen generators door and you have a fifth ballast. I usually turn the engines to maximum and shut that door and I'm just fine and dandy, top speed.
Over-all, 10/10 ship, get an elder mechanic with some skills to upgrade the hull 6/6 and you can happily venture into the void.
-Do note: The stealth mode is good but oftentimes Very Jank. I like that it uses outside engines to give you an approximation of where you won't get spotted but I've only found that mode useful if I'm trying to sneak around Molochs (Love em' too much to shoot at em'. They're just livin' their lives!) I'd rather just shoot whatever's in the area, or run away on Max Engines and Full Aheads.

Im pretty new to the game, and im not sure if this ship is actually that good in alot of things, but so far its awesome! great work nonetheless. (im not doing a campaign in this yet but tried it out)
