简介 Description

The map is sourced from Hoang Tan island, Quảng Yên Town, Quảng Ninh province, Vietnam.

The island is surrounded by a well-developed water system and has relatively flat land, showcasing the charm of the "land of fish and rice" in the Jiangnan region. You can easily construct lakes and canals in the map, creating a city with water landscapes. In the northern part of the island, there is a large mountain range with a reservoir, greatly enriching the terrain diversity of the map and creating a sense of height variation, which becomes a prominent feature of the map. It makes it a typical mountain and sea map.

On the eastern side of Hoang Tan island, there is the famous attraction of Ha Long Bay, and the scattered small islands seen in the southeast corner of the map are a part of the karst landforms of Ha Long Bay. The island at the eastern edge of the map are intended for tourism purposes in real world, and you can also develop the tourism industry in this area.

该岛周围水系发达,土地较为平坦,有江南鱼米之乡的风范。你可以方便地在地图中兴建湖泊、运河,建造水景城市。在岛的北部有一座较大的山脉,山中还有一座水库,极大丰富了地图的地形多样性,营造高低错落之感,也成为地图的一大特色!使之成为典型的山海地图。

黄潭岛的东边紧邻著名景点亚龙湾,在地图的东南角见到的散落的小岛便是亚龙湾卡斯特地貌的一角。地图东边边缘处的岛屿应为现实中为旅游所用,你亦可在此处发展旅游业。



我的地图选择 My map making idea

I like real-world maps because they are the beautiful and coherent result of billions of years of Earth's evolution. On the other hand, completely fictional maps often have geological errors, challenging our common sense. A typical example is the presence of rivers and oceans that extend hundreds of meters deep on official maps.

Therefore, I primarily select suitable locations from real-world maps to create a 1:1 landscape map. These locations need to have sufficiently large plains, accessible water systems, and mountains that add to the scenery without overly affecting city planning, all within a standard size of 17.28km * 17.28km. However, I won't simply replicate them; I will also make some changes to the maps for the sake of gameplay.

The locations I choose may not necessarily have existing human metropolises in the real world, but this gives players a sense of creating their own world.

This is because the placement of highways and railways in my designs may not align with your preferences. The positioning of harbors may also fall outside the standard 5*5 range. I focus on providing a beautiful and easily adaptable terrain; the rest is up to you.

因此我主要从世界地图中选取合适的地点,做成1:1的山水地图。它们需要在17.28km*17.28km标准大小中拥有足够大小的平原,通达的水系,点缀但不过于影响城市规划的山峦。但是,我也不会一味复刻,我也会为了游戏性对地图做出一些改变。

我选中的地点不一定在现实世界中已有人类的大都市营建,但这更给玩家一种创造世界的快感。
