Super Mario Party: The Board Game Expansion

Description
Super Mario Party: The Board Game Expansion is a fan recreation of the original Super Mario Party game on Nintendo Switch on Tabletop Simulator with extra content added, such as fan-made custom boards. This deconstructed reverse-engineering also allows the experience to be customized much more heavily than the original game allows.

Hey @Xeno ! Unfortunately, the game is configured to need minigames from another Mario Party as the stock minigames function just fine; the board game is the part we wanted to replicate and that in order to address the gray area of replicating the entire game, we only made part of the game to make it a supplement rather than a full recreation. There is no plans to create minigames in TTS at this time, but we may revisit this idea later on.

That being said, you can replace them with dice rolls to determine placements; this is how we playtest some games as it's a non-biased way of imitating equally skilled minigame players. You can also get creative, whether there's another game with minigames/skill checks you'd like to use (such as the ones in the SMP:TBGE Companion App) or even making your own with TTS's parts.

My apologies for the inconvenience but hopefully these solutions are suitable; let me know if you have any more questions and I hope you all enjoy playing SMP:TBGE! ^w^👍

Not sure if I missed anything, but some friends and myself thought this looked pretty neat and well made and were wanting to try to play this, but then we saw the mini-games (which we believe are a requirement, please correct me if I'm wrong) require to actually be played on a Switch, of which I'm the only one with one.

Obviously not going to be able to convert all those mini-games to be playable within Tabletop Simulator. Is there a ruleset I missed to be able to just play the game within TTS without having a Nintendo Switch or 3DS, etc. etc. on hand to play the mini-games in question? If not, is that a possibility you may consider making in the future to allow those with just TTS to be able to play the game on TTS with no need to spend more money on a gaming console/handheld and an online subscription to boot?

Again if I'm mistaken and rules already let you play without the mini-games, please feel free to correct me on that, thank you for your time!

Good morning @PIKTAS LIETUVIS , just tested it and it should be working now! 👍 The likely culprit is that the image hosting site we use (imgBB) was down or having issues at the time you were trying to load that board, but everything should be operational as of currently.

This error rarely occurs but if you do encounter it again, you can always access and download the assets we've created for this project from our cloud drive so you can manually import it as well!

Let us know if you're still having issues! ^w^

NEWS: It's time to put this to rest: we've been working on more content for Super Mario Party: The Board Game Expansion! 👀 Here's a peek at what's coming soon! 🥳

@PIKTAS LIETUVIS We've received much feedback requesting for a feature like this and we will be adding it in soon; we have an update planned for release hopefully by the end of this year addressing this! ^o^"

We won't put it into a bag though just because the assets themselves are pretty large and can mess up other table elements if a player's lift height is too low. Thank you for the suggestion though, and if you have anymore, please let us know! ^w^

I cant get into the other boards so can you make like there's a bag with all the boards?
KuyaJava  [author] 20 Nov, 2023 @ 9:40pm
@Marxx Are you talking about the index cards inside the bags with the URL links to the different board images? If so, Right Click the object and then look at the Description field at bottom of the pop-up menu.

From there, you should be able to click into the textbox to copy all of the text in it, after which you can paste it into the necessary fields; if you cannot see the entire pop-up, Right Click the object while it is higher up on your screen so the entire menu is visible.

If that is not your issue or if you have any other questions, please let me know so I can further assist you! ^w^
