NOTE!!!
OK so this version seems to finally have been actually updated after over a week so both versions are valid now. Sorry about the mess but Workshop really doesn't work well when it comes to updating existing builds a lot of the time

My version of a V-1 Flying Bomb launch site.

It's an approximation (especially the launch site) and not a 1:1 replica.

The V-1 flying bomb (Vergeltungswaffe 1 - "Vengeance Weapon 1") was an early cruise missile. Its official Reich Aviation Ministry (RLM) designation was Fi 103. It was also known to the Allies as the buzz bomb or doodlebug due to its easily identifyable pulse jet engine that emitted an iconic low frequency droning sound.

The V-1 was the first of the Vergeltungswaffen (V-weapons) deployed for the terror bombing of London. Because of its limited range, the thousands of V-1 missiles launched into England were fired from launch facilities along the French (Pas-de-Calais) and Dutch coasts.

The Wehrmacht first launched the V-1s against London on 13 June 1944, one week after (and prompted by) the successful Allied landings in France. At peak, more than one hundred V-1s a day were fired at southeast England, 9,521 in total, decreasing in number as sites were overrun until October 1944, when the last V-1 site in range of Britain was overrun by Allied forces. After this, the Germans directed V-1s at the port of Antwerp and at other targets in Belgium, launching a further 2,448 V-1s. The attacks stopped only a month before the war in Europe ended, when the last launch site in the Low Countries was overrun on 29 March 1945.

A note! The tiny propeller had nothing to do with propulsion but was a distance gauge and every turn meant the bomb had travelled a certain distance, so when the set distance had been reached the engine cut off and the bomb fell to the ground.

My version of the V-1 needs a bit of human input to strike its target and are remote controlled instead of being self-guiding.

No Alt for the first/left missile, Alt for the second/right missile. Controlled from the "driver's" seat.
W: Launch missile.
S: Stop rocket engine.
A/D: Yaw.
Up/Down arrows: Pitch.
Left/Right arrows: Roll.
K/Hazard lights: Warning lights on bunker.

Camera 1-2: Missile 1.
Camera 3-4: Missile 2.

When firing the missiles be ready to pitch up during or immediately after launch since it lacks a bit of lift at launch speed.
The V-1 flies pretty well albeit a bit nose heavy, but besides that it is quite controllable.

Sometimes the sled does a bit of a skip at the end of the launch rail and I do not know why so I can't try to fix it any more than I've already done.

Feel free to edit, but if you reupload publically in any way please acknowledge the original creation and creator.

Have fun!

Ok since this upload is somehow completely broken, i.e. I can't update anything even the description from within the game, I will re-upload the updated version. I will leave this but note that this is now and obsolete build!!!!

I aminly build WW2 military planes so the An-12 is a bit outside my sphere of interest (and yes I know there have been exceptions before), so I can put it on my list but there's no telling if or when I'll get to making it.

Sadly the Workshop is being slow AF to update yet again. Fingers crossed it'll go through soon. 🙄

OK forget about the last update, added several sensors one for each filter so I can still hide them inside. :)
I also added a bit more explosives to make a slightly bigger boom.

Just realised the "everything but myself" is basically one sensor for each filter. I might try that.
