Signalis Backgrounds and Menu Music

Description
Replace the main menu backgrounds & music with GIFs and tracks of the OST from Signalis!

*THIS MOD MUST BE CONFIGURED MANUALLY!!!*

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Subscribe to the article.

2. Open L4D2 and let the new add-on load in, then close the game.

3. Go to "\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons\workshop" in your game folders.

4. Find the mod file, (for this mod, it should be "2984796009").

5. Drag and drop the mod file onto your vpk.exe, (which is found in "Left 4 Dead 2\bin", then scroll to the bottom and you'll see it), to extract the mod into an actual usable and openable folder, which has the background and music files inside of it.

6a. For the backgrounds, in your own *in-game files*, go to "Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\media", put the original 5 background videos into a new folder named "backup", just so if something goes wrong, you can restore the files easily.

In the mod folder, copy the 5 themes, return to your in-game media folder, and paste them there.

6b. For the music, in your own *in-game files*, go to "Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\sound\music\l4d2", you will also do a backup folder for these, for easy recovery.

In the mod folder, copy all 15 songs- then return to the in-game music files and paste them into the folder.

7. Reopen your game and it should be working!

*Note: If the music loops awkwardly or breaks, try running "snd_rebuildaudiocache" in your game's console and see if that gives it a fix!*

You got to go back to the folder you originally pulled the mod from and there should be a fil there containing the extracted contents.

I reach step 5 and it briefly flashes before closing. Any ideas on what to do?

@OH MY GAWD!!! if you'd like a particular song, just replace one of the other song files with Red Gate and you're all set :) there's plenty of ways to download the songs, so it should be an easy one to replace.

Is it okay if you can add the "Red Gate" theme from signalis as the main menu theme?

@god's strongest hell diver. You have to go to the library of your games, then you go for the filter and check all the filters, then find left for death 2 authoring tools and install it, once installed, check the bin folder and search the vpx.exe, it should be there now, then just find the extracted folder back to the mods folder, it has the same number of this mod, and you just finish the rest of the process

So there are no problems, you're cool that you make mods for such a game, only I'm out of the habit of installing modifications so stuffy, my maximum was in Gothic 1 when I changed the client at the workshop :p
