Keep in mind that this add-on has almost a complete overhaul compared to the previous ones, so if you don't like this one, you can enjoy my previous versions!

'Wait.. whoa whoa, I thought you are done with this'. Well, blame the comment.

Short Description
This addon is originally made by Ferretsshadow. And I applied the comment idea to this, note that due to either the limitation of the game or I am just dumb, I cannot apply every single idea to the add-on, such as static beat wave upon losing health and death (unless I use the death overlay texture to do it), it's probably because I am dumb.

Features compared to before :
  • Slightly changed the colors of the permanent health bars.
  • Replaces the temporary health bars with brand new ones, I took the permanent bars as a base, then removed the saturation of all bars' background, and apply the colors to the beat wave respectively to each health bars, it looks hard to see your current health, but I think it looks good visually.
  • Added the empty health bar which is just a desaturated version of any permanent health bar, and applied to the missing health to ensure that no health bars' part disappear as you take damage.
  • All health bars have the same beat wave speed to make sure they connected to each other and you can see them better (the same speed as red health bar from my previous version), I can't make each respective color different because um.. yeah.
  • Team Health Counter Support.
  • Replaces death overlay with a slow RE2 purple health bar covering the empty health bar.

Notes : Due to how the health bars work, it will conflict with some add-ons that alters the size and position of the HUD, as well as adding extra image to the panels, one example is Team Health Counter. However, since most people are using it, I decided to merge it with this add-on.

Edit - me

You can check the original add-on here.

If the original creator requested this to be taken down, then I will.

I am planning to make an alternate version, where I switched the color of the temporary health bar's beat wave color with the background (basically removing the saturation of the temporary health bars' beat wave instead of the background) to make sure that you can see your current health, as well as differentiating it with empty health bars better.

I have made an alternate version, you can check it out here.

Let me know in the comments if I should make the temporary health bars more vibrant so that it can be seen better! But in terms of visual, I think it looks good already.

And that's it for now, sad that steam doesn't allow gif preview to be more than 2 mb, so I am forced to reduce the resolution, Enjoy the final version!

Or is it?? (͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )

Updates
Update 08/06/2023 : Replaces death overlay with a slow RE2 purple health bar covering the empty health bar, I can't make it a separate add-on, since the original overlay is placed incorrectly, so I have to use the resource file to modify the position, let me know if this looks bad, feedback is appreciated.

mmmm is it possible just to add more layers so you can place flat line under the life that shows? and it also changes it's color with the life state?

Isn't it supposed to flat line if the patients die?

could you add another version to work with xbox dpad hud?

Yeah, that's the drawback when I am trying to make health bar to not deplete.

Actually there is another way to do it, but it is kind of jank.

Why is the green health bar so fast? It feels like my character is palpitating...

Yes.

So in conclusion:
Both versions have the same thing, except that the alternative version has better visibility of the temporary state compared to the original version that does not have it?
Interneted  [author] 8 Dec, 2023 @ 5:20pm
There are no feature additions or removal between both add-ons, it's simply just a difference in texture, I did not remove or add anything new.

I released the alternative version for better visibility of temp health, that's it.

So the original version beats the alternative version by a lot?
You can't give me an answer leaving the subjective aside, I know why the alternative has something that the original doesn't or that the original has and the alternative doesn't have that's what I'm referring to bro

That is subjective, it really depends on you, personally I like the original version.
