Clan Crooktail is hidden away in warpstone-tainted tunnels under the frozen Northern Chaos Wastes. As a result of its corrupted home, mutations are frequent amongst its warriors and are seen as a favor of the Horned Rat, even though many of them are the 'blessings' of the four Dark Gods. Such mutations grant the clan a strange and startling array of powers that makes their warriors oft in-demand by other Skaven clans, something that has occasionally earned Wastelord Viciss Baukis large piles of warpstone from Skavenblight.

• Clan Crooktail - Deep beneath the Chaos Wastes, at the bottom of the Dragon Crossroads, lies the hold of Clan Crooktail. From there, Wastelord Viciss Baukis plots the demise of any who seek to do him harm.

• The Corrupted Army - 1 Legendary Lord, 1 new unit, 5 Regiments of Renown. All Skaven infantry and Rat Spawns will mutate upon recruitment (see below).
  
• One Playable Faction - North of the great wall of Cathay, Clan Crooktail can fight its way south into the Land of the Dragons, or turn north and despoil the wastes.
  
• Custom Mechanics -
  
  • Mutations Galore - Recruited Skaven infantry and Rat Spawns will get between 0 and 5 mutations from a brand new list of 50 different mutations. Warlords, Chieftains, and Packmasters will gain one of 73 different new mutations when taking certain skills, which also has a small chance of turning the character into a Rat Spawn, forever twisted by the Chaos Wastes. Wastelord Viciss Baukis starts with one of ten new traits that will define much of the campaign for Clan Crooktail, and then draws from a list of 30 different mutations upon choosing his custom skills.
