Golden Memory

Description
Saves and restores between sessions the elapsed time since the last Golden cookie.

Did you know? When you close and reopen Cookie Clicker, the game does not save the elapsed time since the last Golden Cookie.
This results in a "longer" time between two golden cookies when the game is closed.

This tiny mod fixes that by saving the time and loading it at the game start.

This mod should also work with Wrath Cookies and Reindeers.

Does not disable Steam Achievements.

hi

Great mod if you aren't actively looking at the screen and multitasking.

@Golden Skull
I made this to avoid huge notifications at startup while still keeping a way through CCSE to check if the mod was correcly loaded.
Logically, if CCSE is not installed, checking for CCSE should trigger false and do not execute the statement. Thinks there is something wrong.

Whatever, thank you a lot for the help, I'm going to update my mods!

as golden skulll has just mentioned, I too only had this mod installed because I just got the game and it was the first mod that U saw so I decided to get it. It was at priority 1 at the time of reporting the bug btw. I now also have many other mods including CCSE although I don't currently have the time to go and test out if CCSE will resolve the problem.

Very glad to be able to help solve the issue even though I have 0 programming/code experience:steamthumbsup:

@springTS I did some testing and the issue seems to be caused by the following line of code

if (CCSE && CCSE.MenuHelper) CCSE.MenuHelper.AutoVersion(this);

When I commented it out and turned the else statement into a normal call the upgrades loaded in correctly.

I do not have CCSE installed, just this mod. That seems to be what is causing this specific issue

I get the same upgrade error that the others are talking about.
This mod is the only mod I have installed. It is in the fourth position after all of the built in sample mods that come default with the game.
When the game is launched, the upgrades menus is empty and hovering over the area does nothing (no tool tip appears).
Disabling the mod then resetting the game with the new changes from the mod menu makes the upgrades reappear.
Likewise, enabling the mod then resetting the game with the new changes from the mod menu makes the upgrades disappear.
The above is consistent and reproducible each time the above is done.
I'm on the current version of the game, on a fresh install, and a new save.

@Robin, @DaddyVictor
I cannot reproduce your bug on my game, can you please send me your mods list and an export of your save so I can investigate further? Thanks in advance.

I like the idea, but I'll wait until you work out the bugs mentioned
Robin 3 Jul, 2023 @ 12:47pm
I've tried it with and without my other mods

This is very strange, I use my mod too and I don't have this problem.
What other mods do you use?
