Description
Wasteland ammo manufacturing!

Lax_Goalie_13 and I teamed up for this one. See crafting methods below.

I had wanted to produce an ammo crafting mod that was fun to use and did not disrupt game balance. Lax_Goalie_13 suggested some crafting methods (especially the "farming" strategy), and I introduced the P.A.M. (Portable Ammo Machine) to go with it. The PAM is created after the concept of Fallout 76's CAMP. Putting these ideas together, Lax_Goalie_13 harmonized the concepts to what you see here. He also suggested an ammo pallet for roleplayers.

Thus we have the first implementation of our ammo crafting mod. Please suggest changes where game balance is concerned.

How to use:

First, install this mod into your game or server. Don't forget the toolbox mod.

Here is the crafting workflow:

1: Have your toolbox ready.
2: Uncraft spare ammo* to scrapped ammo. Scrapped ammo can be stored or converted to Brass and Gunpowder.
3: Make the melting pot.
4: Create the Basic Ammo mold (and advanced ammo mold, if needed)
5: Create the PAM (Portable Ammo Machine)
6: Create the PAM starter process for the given ammo type you are making.
7: Place it on the ground. It will gradually complete like a farmable object.
8: Harvest ammo.
9: Uncraft the "Ready Ammo" to get the resulting ammo type, and the PAM for reuse.

*Please note that ammo processing is limited to a set output regardless of ammo stack amount. This is due to how Unturned handles ammo amounts -- they cannot be transferred to crafting amounts. Do not worry - the time process involved in creating ammo offsets the advantages gained by crafting a stack of 1 or 40 bullets into a set number of brass and gunpowder.

worked perfectly fine for me, people probably just not installed the required dependencies then being amazing that the mod doesn't work!

The toolbox is used by other mods as well. If the mod is installed without the toolbox, then it will not work.

Does this mod still work? I'm seeing people complain that the toolbox can't be spawned in or crafted and ik it's an important part of making this mod work

Well, the obvious questions would be how to integrate making shot shells and other unique ammunition types. Scrapping other magazine types (viper, peacemaker, colt, etc.) might be an add on as well - though at that point there would be more need to balance things because handgun mags are not that rare.

I'd guess it could be split into low-power powder in a blue bottle from pistols, and high-power in the current red from from rifle mags. Or just adjust the amounts needed up for each type, so you'd say need four mags to make one box of high caliber. Perhaps other requirements like metal bars for steel cores on high caliber, or gas cans for the plastic of shot shells.
