Likely broken due to updates with the fluid mechanics. Will be fixed if we have time.

BACKGROUND
Welcome to the ALTA Pipeline, an advanced pipeline that transports oil, diesel and jet fuel all across the Stormworks world! The ALTA Pipeline allows pumping into and out of the pipeline at 14 convenient substation locations scattered around the map, and can reduce the distance needed to transport your products via sea, road or rail. The pipeline is activated at the main pumping station, where you can also monitor the pipeline operations and shutdown individual lines. The pumping station building features an operations center, living quarters with a suite, a medical bay, and a luxurious rooftop patio of relaxing after a hard day's work. The substations are where the oil products can be extracted, piped in or filtered. As with all ALTA creations, this system is integrated to work with any combination of ALTA products.

  • Pipeline Specs: 5000L to be pumped in/out
  • Generators: 1 x RAT generator
  • Crew accommodations: 5
  • Crew areas: Operations center, medical bay, welding shop, lounge, living quarters, rooftop patio, helipad

TIPS

  • Note the following commands:
    - ?enable - enables the pipeline without having to go to pumping station
    - ?disable- disables the pipeline without having to go to pumping station
    - ?status - Show which pipelines are enabled/disabled
    - ?amount - Show how much of each fluid is in the pipeline

BUGS
  • Some fluid will be lost in the pipeline system due to GPU/CPU speed.
  • The substation nearest to the pumping station "pipeline online" lights may not turn on unless it respawns

I think I understand the broken aspect of it now. While the pipeline seems to work just fine for me, I am able to pump way more than 5000L of Crude Oil/Diesel/Jet Fuel into it. Love the concept!

onno.merhar you have to enable it when starting the game.
Question for devs, been using this a while, are there any plans to possibly edit it so its compatible with North Sawyer Overhaul? Or allow someone else to do so?

i wanna add a few things to the building or move some things around. how can i do that? I have no plans of reuploading or anything like that. Ive got a problem with the pump station being one block in the air, i would also like to add some c-4s to the main base but i cant find a way to edit the addon.

Not sure if this is a known issue or has only happened to me but i loaded into one of my saves and it seemed to try to put a second pumpin station and gates..

So for context.
open console with the enter button. Type ?enable

then go to the pipeline pumping station. Go to the control center. Press the enable all button. Your status lights will be green, and flashing, but the button press will mostly alleviate that. Your Sub-stations should all be green now. and pumping oil/diesel/and jet fuel into the pipeline.

All having issues with the system since the compressed air update, I may have found a fix. Use the ?enable command in the console. For whatever reason, it seems to be working on my end. I also had to go to the main pump station, and Enable all. The status lights were rapid flashing green, but then it went away once I hit enable all. I seem to have Oil in the pipeline now. So i think it is working. Hope this helps.

onno use the addon editor in the menu and select "workshop"
