Description
Pepe's Wars:

Pepe's Wars is a series of ship collections intended to tell a story, showing an evolution of ship design as a series of wars progressed across the galaxy. Each collection or 'line' of ships was created with a core idea in mind, and the ships within that line are an evolution of one to another, guided by the demands of the wars. Additionally, each different line shows a rough timeline, and you should see how one line becomes obsolete or surpassed by the next 'technological advancement'. For example, the 'beamships' line got out-ranged by the subsequent 'railgun kiters' line, which in turn were beaten out by the 'lensing ships'. Download all collections in the Pepe's Wars series to get the full story in the ships' descriptions.

All ships in the Pepe's Wars collection have been designed for function above form, so please read the descriptions or the ship info in-game to understand my core concepts behind each design. They are not the prettiest ships, but hopefully you will agree they are effective at their roles.

Interdictors:

The Interdictors were designed to be lone-wolf ships, able to easily catch up to target s and disable them, then call in reinforcements via hyperspace beacon if necessary. They acted as the sticky tendrils of a fleet, holding prey in place with tractor beams and disruptors until help arrived. They have seen use ever since the fourth war, in one form or another.

The Ships:

Sabre
The Sabre, while expensive for its size, comes with all of the technology you would expect of an interdictor - tractor beam, jump beacon and disruptors. It is fast in short bursts, enough to catch its prey, and forward-facing flak cannons are a nice addition to help with survivability. While not able to solo larger targets like its predecessor, The Devoter, The Sabre still serves its niche role excellently.

Devoter:
The Devoter's precise quad-emitter beam laser allows it to pinpoint thrusters and point defence targets at range, and then an array of blasters and disruptors deliver a swift end in close quarters. Heavy forward and side shielding help it to approach its target and to fight outnumbered, and two tractor beams hold the primary target in place. For larger targets the jump beacon can then call in reinforcements to lend a hand. It even has two mining lasers to help it scavenge alone out in the field. Overall the Devoter is a fantastic force multiplier, with incredible versatility for both solo and fleet operations.

I don't mean to be harsh, but these designs are horribly inefficient.
