Strength Requirement Fix - Fragment Axe and Heavy Jitte

No Import needed.

Every weapon in Kenshi has a hidden Strength Requirement equal to 40 X Blunt Damage.

When you fail to meet the requirement, your Combat Speed is negatively impacted drastically depending on how far from the requirement you are. It caps at a nearly 50% speed penalty when you're 20 or more Strength below requirement.

This means the requirements of two weapons, in particular the Fragment Axe and Heavy Jitte, can never be met and will always be slower than their contemporaries. The Fragment Axe specifically will always be 50% slower.

This mod reduces their Blunt Mult to 1.25, putting the Strength requirements for the Meitou versions (Value of 2) at exactly 100 (2.5 x 40). All other qualities are changed as well.

In an attempt to keep the weapon's overall damage unchanged, I added enough bonus against Humanoids, Robots, and Animals (every enemy in the game, to my knowledge) to bring its damage back to roughly where it should be.

To put this damage change into perspective, the Meitou Fragment Axe, on a character with 100 Strength, 100 Dexterity, 100 Melee Attack, and 26 Heavy Weapons, dealt 123 damage before the mod, and 129 after the mod, to the same armorless human with 70 Toughness. With the same character stats, but 8 Blunt, the Meitou Heavy Jitte dealt 82 damage before the mod and 83 after.

Goes perfectly with my other mod, Less Fragile Hivers + More Hive Blood, allowing Beep to become the Fragment Axe wielding gigachad he was always meant to be.

I am unlikely to update, patch, or change this mod unless you the community give me feedback on it. Let me know your thoughts, suggestions, and so on.

Why thank you. I just wanted it to be usable by a vanilla character without two Heavy Loader arms.

This is probably the best tweak for Fragment Axe I've seen.
It fixes its ridiculous weight, keeps the blunt/cut damage ratio and does not destroy the weapon's damage output.

Wonderful mod, this one.

Hello! Sorry for the slow reply. The changes apply to ever weapon of both types. I'm unsure if it applies to the unique Bull Horn Axe or not.

Hey! Does this apply for the lower quality versions of the weapons as well? Such as the edgewalker 3 variant? Thanks!

Yes it would, but I think it's a little ridiculous to need that much strength for what are... not even the best weapons in the game. At any rate, you won't need to grind to Strength 100 AND get Prosthetics on top of it.

Yes it does. For future reference, all entities in the game are classified as either Human, Robot, or Animal. This includes all of the races.
