Description
This is an edit to Varyarin's original mod adding the L4D1 Pistol+ animations to the vanilla L4D2 pistols making so that they only appear on vanilla campaigns featuring the L4D2 survivors.

I do not currently reccomend using this mod if you are planning on playing addon campaigns. Due to the way that making mods appear only in certain campaigns works (aswell as my own inexperience), pistols in custom campaigns will still maintain the default L4D2 animations.

This was something I made for my own mod collection/load order, but figured that maybe some others might appreciate it aswell.

Unlike the original, this one is not compatible with sound mods, however it still accepts retextures just fine.

is there anyway you can make this work with custom campaigns using a script with the survivors or something?

weird... or maybe something to do with my modified Weapon data? I only changed and added weapon stats like damage, reload and deploy duration.

Shouldn't be, I use tumtara and it doesn't prevent functionality in official campaigns.

It might be the hud, but even then, that should only apply to the L4D1 pistols not these, and I dont think it would cause the rest of the vpk to fail to load?

Having both will have them flag as conflicting as they overwrite similar files, but due to the missions file only one is functionally in use an any given time. As in, they may flag as conflicting with each other but in practice do not.

well, according to my addon manager, the conflict is apparent on both this and the l4d1 pistols, tumtara, and the HD HUD -- which is unrelated.

If it's not working on official maps you have some kind of conflict on your end preventing their functionality, as both myself and multiple of my friends use them regularly with no issue.

TUMTARA is an addon campaign by technicality, so they don't function there as of this moment.

Are you attempting to play custom/addon campaigns? These currently do not work with all custom campaigns due to a reliance on a "missions" file to determine whether or not the addon should be in use, meaning right now they only work on official campaigns and a few explicitly support custom campaigns.

I believe there is a newer method using vscripts to determine survivorsets which *should* allow it to work on any campaign addon or not, so I may look into the feasibility of that once I get a little less bogged down with work.
